I told you Cal would finish in the top 6
Oh man, good to see u on here.Good to see the old faces again!
WHATEVER BRO.
Haha, we gotta give credit where credit is due. I won't mention Dovi had issues, and surely might have relegated Cal to 7th. I just won't mention it. :ninja:
Serious statement follows:
Which publications do you rate? Used to like Roadracing World who didn't pull punches with tracks/sponsors/officialdom. Haven't subscribed dor a while.
And Fast Bikes in the 90s, who had their tongues up Ducati's arse but were supportive of racers.
Journos.....dunno anymore. K Cameron is pretty good most of the time....
My take is I am forced to think more on sites such as this (yeah, I know..) than (m)any articles I read. Gave up on paper mags...
Oh boy, another elitist intellectual, with his books and learnins and what not.I always find this a good read...
Yep, used to read PB for Robbo's articles and general sense of humour. Another I used to look out for was Moto Tecnica (an Italian mag with Google translate style english additions at the back).I dunno, MCN has been a farce since it became the red top of the motorcycle world and the sad passing of the great Kevin Ash didn't help. I loved Fast Bikes when it came out, because they didn't give a .... and despite blowing smoke up Ducati's arse seldom allowed the manufacturers to dictate editorial policy. Regarding support for racers, their own Alastair Fagan is a more recent example. You're probably aware of the current situation surrounding John Cantlie who I believe founded the magazine. John Roberston (R.I.P) made 'Performance Bikes', and I've bought 'Bike' since I was a kid - and is still probably the best read.
Austin is the best person to ask - he's been there.
Question, after you were resident in the U.K. during the 90s were you able to obtain these publications abroad?
I always find this a good read...
Bump de dump.
So Cal finished 5th in Sepang.
He's miles in front of his teammate who is a rookie.
I do wonder what might have been had he not been taken out at Silverstone.
But fact remains that he sits 35 points behind Dovi who is on the GP15, and Cal could have been on that bike instead.
Imagine if Cal had opted to stay at Ducati?
