With so many Brits here, and the addition of two Americans, why doesn't this series get any play on this forum? WTF.

(btw, what a fantastic title to the write-up, hehehe)

The two races were heated battles. This series is deep with talent, with about 5-6 guys on the lead platoon at times, and battles for the lead and podium ongoing.

The track, Snetterton, I guess is new, or something along those lines, and it was spectacular. 40K peeps showed up, are you F-ing kidding me? What a great turn-out for a national series. I want to move to the UK.

Zemke seemed to be struggling all weekend, but ended up making good. And Hopkins, the real star of both races. I'm so proud of him. He's taken a career that was on life support and is clawing back. He seems so focused, fit, and genuinely a good personality. The first thing out of his mouth was to apologize to Shakey Byrne for a last lap incident.

The Evo class, which I know little to nothing about, did at least give us a couple of short camera shots of Zemke. Who in the second race was next to Hopkins in the podium line up, back to back. Which was surreal for me seeing familiar faces in a strange series. Tommy Hill sounded great on the podium too, giving his competitors props. BSB is all about the racing, with what appears to be little to no schoolboy drama. Its like a seniors class, where people act more mature. (Granted I know little to nothing about the BSB, except what I see on year end reviews, Duke complilations, and RU/ect downloads, so I can hardly comment on any of it except as a very ignorant periodic screen spectator.)

Anybody have a house for rent in the UK?

Snetterton isn't new mate. Its an old style track with a ....... monster back straight. There is a turn called "the Bomb hole" which is a big ww2 bomb creater i think ,filled with water. I once saw a sidecar outfit crash into it, we all thought the rider and passenger would be drowned
<
The bit that spoils it for me is the ...... chicane on the pit straight.

Ah, well something was new right? "Bomb hole" haha, that's fantastic.

Come and stay at mine next year juM and Oulton Park ( and its fckin quality track ) is 30 minutes away. Not joking, you would love BSB. Some kick ... tracks, plenty of talent ( on and off the bikes ) and just great racing.

Seen a couple of interviews with Zemke and I have been impressed. Seems a really cool guy who is excited about the BSB series

And he could stay at mine for Thruxton, about 30 mins away from me

+1. Did Oulton for the 1st time this year and loved the place. Though if you only ever do one BSB meeting I'd say it HAS to be Cadwell (though Oulton is a very close second).

tbh any round's worth going to. Great racing, brilliant atmosphere and free access to the paddock and pitlane walk (don't remember ever getting that at MotoGP). Might sound stupid but i was proper chuffed last year at Mallory when I got to (briefly) meet Kiyo, Brookes, Kagayama and Jenny Tinmouth.

Plus in all the years I've done MotoGP or WSB I've never gotten a photo I love as much as this one from Cadwell last year

Lil Red Rocket wants to do Knockhill BSB next year, if some of you guys wanna make a weekend of it, I'll treat myself to a Hopper T Shirt to wear! Cannae offer to put anyone up, it's an hour and a half on the ferry then a 5 and a half hour drive from Orkney to Knockhill! There's camping at the track though, could be a plan!

Nice work, Austin.

Good racing this weekend. Nice to see Americans doing well just before the 4th.

You mean Wilski hasn't sent his to you? Or is it that the snails migrating north haven't delivered it yet?

Wow, a proper BSB thread! I guess it just takes a few 'Yank" to put a fire under you Brits, eh.? hehe

Geez dude, did your lens get wet? That's a fantastic pic!

You'll need the Hubble Telescope lens to get that kind of shot at most GPs. Or you could come to Laguna and shake Nicky's hand.

All our best riders are busy in world superbikes!! (finishing 4th - 8th)

Brits dont go to BSBs . Theres no point if Rossi aint there !

Well there was 40K at Snetterton to see an American.

Ah, I see, is that why you sent your lone Brit to contest Rossi in GP. Actually, not bad, so far Cal and Rossi haven't looked all that different.

You ought to send a few back to BSB, you don't want a 'Yank' wining the Brit title.

(You don't actually know how funny it was to type this, but I'll share and finally reveal...one day Arrabi and I were talking on the phone, and I quizzed him and Austin on AMA trivia. My first inquiry was to ask if they knew which manufacture is the second most successful, naturally Kawasaki wouldn't come to mind for obvious reason, but actually, that's the truth. And so we started thinking of other manufactures, and champs, etc. We listed the brands that had won and I reminded them that BMW had actually won the first superbike title. To which Arrabi replied, oh yeah, Reg Pridmore. Then he said rather nonchalantly "its rather fitting that Reg would win the AMA title since you guys invented the sport." My reply without change of tone was, 'yeah'. I didn't want to give Arrabi the pleasure of me flinching and allowing any inflection to betray acknowledging his quip.

If you're wondering what was the quip, Reg Pridmore is a Brit. And so Arrabi saying it’s fitting a Brit would win our own superbike invention was about as kick in the balls as Arrabi is capable of, but I wouldn’t dare acknowledge.)

Yes, the track has been heavily modified. Everything from turn 2 to the back straight is new, and the final corner has been reprofiled into something more flowing. Previously the lap ended with a little chicane and turn two went straight onto the back straight. They've done wodners with the place.

Oulton is a great track, it is a real shame about the Hizzies chicane because its rubbish. Cadwell is another excellent typical British track, but Brands hatch GP cannot be forgotten, all are excellent.

As for getting in the paddock, motogp was just a matter of climbing the right fence when i was at donninton 09, and wsbk's this march we just walked past the security at the same time as a car and we were in.
