There was only a tenth or two between them every lap.

It was 1.3 or 1.4 then it went down to 1.0 then Stoner binned it.

I'm glad Vale was able to stay with him and by the end i think he would have caught and passed him anyway.

Go on VALE !!

The after race interview on the 'beeb' with rossi was classicly humorous
<

That was awesome, everyone get used to seeing "that" replay!! The championship looks pretty one sided very suddenly and If nothing too dramatic happens Rossi's gonna wrap it up in Australia
<

Plenty of odd performances coming from unusual sources, and plenty to get excited about for the next race. Nakano has equaled Hayden's best result now and is just one point behind him in the championship, that puts Nickies season into some perspective a bit.

Seems like the pressure got to him. He was really trying to get away, it happened as soon as Rossi closed the gap down to 1 sec again, Rossi Only gets faster as the race goes on.

Rossi had a small misstake two laps before the crash and lost 3 10ths on that section but stil managed a 57.2. That lap would have been the lap record without that mistake but stoner did a 57.1 and hold the new record. The next lap he continued on 57.2 while Stoner went up to 57.5.
Rossi sounded very confident at the post race interview about his pace. He was about to catch stoner no doubt about that. it doesn't mean he would have won but there would have been a figtht. Buuut as we know, stoner doesn't like fights so he made sure there wouldn't be any of that
<

Well that was quite the bore fest. And Michelin need to piss off! I have never seen such a disaster. How the hell do you have factory riders battling outside the top ten on tires the apparently wear out in 6 laps. And Isn't anybody concerned that for the past 2 races the first 2 guys have pulled away by more than 15 seconds?

I know you Rossi fans will be pleased that your main man won, but from a neutral fan perspective its quite shyte. You've got a field that consist of riders who can win provided they have the right equipment. I'm talking about Vermulan, Dovi, Lorenzo, Hopper, Melandri, Elias, Perdrosa and they all seem to be let down by ...... gear. Barros was right! we need each team to run 2 factory teams, they need to make it easier for satelite teams and they need to dump the electronics
<

Thank you bye bye!

Whilst listening to one of the commentators on bbc, he mentioned that stoner said he could of gone into the 56's. There defo would of been a fight to the end.

how many lap did it take rossi to go from 1.3 to 1 sec ?

It was deffo Rossi's fault, being so aggressive applying the pressure like that, how dare he. Maybe they should have restarted the race.

You guys noticea HRC showed board to Pedrosa with "TIRE" written on it? What's wrong? Another Michelin's artwork??..

I Agree in all that, allthough I think Vermulen, Melandri and Elias will only win when all the stars are aligned and all that. The rest pluss another rider or two have more speed in general, but right now there is no doubt that there are only three riders that really compete at the top level and that's of course only when Michelin got the right tires and Pedrosa are injure free.

As a Rossi fan I'm happy he won, as a motoGP fan I think it was a disaster that Stoner went down.

it went back up a bit before Stoner binned it...I don't want to say Rossi got lucky...but i'm not so sure he would have caught the rabbit.... boring race sept for some of the bits towards the back...I can hear Nick laughing all the way over in Texas

less than 1, Stoner probably made an error because he set the fastest lap of the race on the previous lap.

all i saw was a letter T on the board. not sure that means tyre.

Could you repeat that in a way it's possible to get your point?

Winners

Congrats to Vale for winning the race and the championship. His decision to swap to Bridgestone was totally right as time has proved.

Congrats to Toni, best Ducati rider today, and finally on the podium since (Portugal 2006??). There's been a clear progression in the last few races. I think Ducati should take him instead of Gibs or Canepa to sub Melandri.

Congrats to Capi, Shinya and West all performed better than expected, (speacially West since I don't rate him at all).

Kawasaki. They actually looked fast! First time this season!

Losers

Michelin. If Dorna signs a single tyre deal with Bstone for 2009 I wont blame them, Michelin has dropped the ball twice in 2 years.

Casey. That was a bad moment to go back to Crashey. He's not gaining 50p on Rossi in 6 races. Say good bye to #1.

Dani. Not his fault but still he can also join Casey in saying good bye to his title chances.

Randy: Do you have shares in the spare parts manufacturing industry??
