Completely gutted after this one..wish yamaha could figure something out in a hurry...and maybe get jorge a teammate to take points off the hondas...going on three seasons now of jorge vs. the hondas. Also wish Lil Dani would put the stamp on the overbite kid.

If Suppo is making public pronouncements about Honda's progression in braking performance, he is making a public plea for Stoner to return, imo. Stoner's complaint about the softer Bridgestone front tire was that it lacked feel under braking, and that it made the RC213V weave.

Yes, definitely. But NOT with as much supremacy. On a Yamaha I don't think he'd be on a four consecutive wins.

Pedrosa is still not 100%. Seeing how he was catching up with MM on the last laps, I'm pretty confident he'll make it in the next races.

I think Marquez-Honda is one of those rare and perfect combinations, that could become virtually unbeatable for some seasons.
I wonder if he'll ever change bike. A switch to Yamaha would be interesting, but that will not happen before he wins 2 or 3 titles with Honda.

The Honda is certainly not a hinderence, but the difference in the 2 is not huge. Yamaha has won 4 races this year, its not like they are helpless. On a given day, Pedrosa is untouchable, this is not the first time he has finished ahead of Lorenzo.

Sorry Talps, you saying Stoner being there "certainly" wouldn't change much is just as hypothetical/speculative as it would be if I said the opposite.
MM can't do much more than lead the championship by a fair margin after winning 4 races in succession though, and has largely managed to stay on the bike all season whilst riding the wheels off it when more experienced competitors haven't.

I was thinking the exact same thing as I watched this race. The way the moto2 boys slide the rear tire out at the begining of the turn MM has just carried on doing so on his RC.
Agree with Pov's entire post. With the possible exception of the Honda bit, I don't know if we'll see (baring accident) another Yam victory this year.

I doubt it. The factory Honda's advantage is so pronounced that I doubt a perfect race by Lorenzo can overcome. The RCV has got stonger. Lorenzo basically said today in the podium interview, he rode a perfect race and this was no match for the Honda. Shiverstone is too wide and fast. There are a few areas where, like at Brno, the M1 will match. But the power off the corners and that Hanger straight will present problems for Lorenzo. Its over. The only thing Lorenzo or Pedro can hope for is a Marc DNF. Which I will be praying doesnt happen until Lorenzo can overtake Pedro in points. Marc basically just needs to beat Pedro. The midget is overrated and that bike is complementary, Lorenzo beats Pedro because hes better despite Jorges slighly inferior bike. Marc beats Pedro because hes better.

Your last line supports my theory, as dani and Jorge had stoners measure last year IMO stoner would not have an anwser to Marquez at present. He has raw speed, a cool head, tons of race craft and a style that has shaken up the nice little status quo that Jorge, stoner and dani have enjoyed for the past 2-3 years.

Explain to us all why HRC need Stoner back then? And how he would be besting the current field after a year out of it....? And why suppo would need to announce things like this to hide secret messages for Casey? Livio would have his number wouldn't he???
