I remember that name!! ...... but thats all ..... and it evokes some idea of a legend and saviour ...... did they "market" that guy years ago? ....... maybe the lack of performance may explain why the name is there ( in my memory ) ... but not the actual riding.??

Alain proust said something quite prophetic about senna; ayrton has a problem, he thinks he cannot die. This was only partially true, as his death which is the worst thing I have ever seen live on tv seems to have been due to mechanical rather than driver errror, but was probably a fair comment on senna's approach to racing.

Yeah, pretty fair comment by Prost. Also, Senna somehow felt he had the god given right to win. At least that's why I read somewhere. I think that's a bit crazy, but he might actually felt that.

Ok, we'll see about that. So far he has been doing an incredible job. I think if Honda provides him a better bike next season, he will be a serious threat. We expected a Dani vs. Vale battle this season, but it wasn't meant to happen. Let'see what will happen in 08.

I have no idea why Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna or any other F1 drivers are mentioned in this thread. I DON'T give a flying .... about any of them. I was talking about motorcycle riders, not car drivers. And as for Pedrosa or Katoh, one still can reach great heights in the future and the other is dead. I have no idea why they are being mentioned.
