Here we go!

Another week, another race
<

I guess predictions will be that more uncertain with the potential for the 3 guys not to race.

So;

1. Rossi (on form, bike problems fixed, less competition)
2. Edwards (needs a podium, had a good race last year, be nice to get a 1 - 2 for camel)
3. Hayden (who wouldnt bet him being on the podium! heh)

Should be a cracker, watch out for the motogpforum flag on the tv held by two pissed up brits with england flags!
<

this year will be the first year the riders will ride on the new circuit. so I say:

1) nicky hayden
2) rossi
3) well, I would have said marco or loris, but maybe pedrosa??

It's hard to say, not knowing who's gonna be racing, but I'd say Rossi & Hayden will definitely be on the podium. If the injured trio aren't riding, I wouldn't bet against Stoner joining them, although his confidence would have taken a battering with 2 crashes in as many races.

It'll be very hard and very funny. I think 1. Rossi
2. Hayden
3. Jhon Hopkins

I like Assen becouse it's very difficult circuit.Specially turnz.

A note to Marijke : It's Istanbul, not Instanbul
<

You'd think it would be easier to choose from less riders...

Heart Says: (i have high hopes)
1) Hopkins
2) Hayden
3) Vermeulen
<

Head says: (out on a limb here)
1) Hayden
2) Rossi
3) Stoner

thanks, I've changed it
<
in dutch we use both words, I always did found that confusing
<
some for ireland: we say ierland

but back to topic: I do hope that loris can ride! sete I think, shall not be riding next week
<

Head says,

1. Rossi
2. Hayden
3. Edwards

Heart says,

1. Edwards
2. Hopper
3. Rossi

Seriously though, Yam have fixed their probs and rossi's on form so hes just guna be playin with 'em again.

And i can see Colin getting a podium because he always goes well here whatever style he uses.

1. hayden, i think this is the place were he finally challenges the doc & comes out on top (not counting laguna last year of course) it's the last step he needs to take. 2. rossi 3. pedrosa

Head Says:
1. Hayden
2. Rossi
3. Edwards

Heart Says:
1. Edwards
2. Hayden
3. Melandri

I think Frosty is right on here. Assen is a place that Hayden has always liked although the results have never really showed it like they have at places like Sachsenring, Laguna or PI. Take that and add the confidence he must have gained by first of all, surviving the crash marred race, secondly scoring a second place after rarely being in the top 10 all race and finally knowing that Assen is in part a new track. It's anybody's game at this point. That has to level the playing field to everyone. Edwards has gone well in the past and I think he will find himself near the front in a battle for the podium with Rossi, Hayden and Melandri if he is fit to ride.

1st of all just like to say have great time Ben (lucky git
<
)

1 Valentino Rossi

2 Nicky Hayden

3 Casey Stoner

I just read on racesport.nl that Jurgen vd goorbergh has a chance to get the ride of sete/marco in assen! whoo that would be awsome to see a dutchmen riding in the motogp again

You know, I nearly posted in that thread about replacements about Jurgen - being holland and all that, then I thought............nah, who would have him

I'm not sure Frosty & Ooost....have we really ever seen Hayden in the dogfight with Rossi.....its not a "happy place", just ask Loris and Sete, they're the only ones that have pushed Rossi's "kill" button for real. In Mugello, Nicky was really only following Loris and Rossi....and in Catalunya, he admitted that he was being played with......I'm not sure he has what it takes YET.....to win decisively
Also, these guys are tough, but I don't think Melandri will be riding, maybe into the points but certainly not pushing hard at the front...its gonna be hard to get back in the saddle after that mess
Same with Loris, he's got tons of experience, but he'll be stiff and sore, not a front runner.....
Gibbermeathead.....arguably the "cause" of yesterdays accident really should consider folding up the tents....he's lost his edge in my mind
Sorry for you Pedrosa fans, but I really feel like this weekend proves how much of a rookie he really is.....
And GOD DAMMIT STONER....can someone let him know that the throttle doesn't have to be pegged wide flippin open the whole race....

So for Assen:
1. Rossi (fast and confident, bike figured out....time to play)
2. Hayden (I'd be fool to think not)
3. Hopkins (He's gonna get his day.....riding solid

Racing incident................nuff said........how can anyone control their brake lever being hit - thus causing a 160mph stoppie?

Wes - I was refering to the number of gp's you've been to this year

well there was laguna. but everybody say's it's his home race he has the advantage.but nobody say's that about the italians or spaniards for that matter. but that dose'nt count... right? then there was philip island last year. that was a nice little showing. qatar this season. he's had a few. but i think he's right there. if he can just stuff up rossi a couple of times & come out on top......... he's there! but it's a tall order i know. we shall see!!!

Ben, I hear you...but you CAN control "not drifting" into Loris......if you watch the replay, he goofed and the front tire bobbled and he drifted into Loris....Cappy put out his left elbow to push him away.....but then his lever hit......and he wasn't doing 160mph....

well if u look at the replay enough you'll see that actually sete was drifting right & loris drifted left. loris was just in front. i did'nt see an elbow come out. it's just one of those bizzare accident's. .... happens!

Just goes to show how good those god damned brakes are.....that thing launched skyward like someone shoved a pipe in his spokes.....I'll be honest I couldn't even see where Melandri ended up....his body actually hit Pedrosas rear tire and when he stopped and his arm flopped over....I thought he got killed....good thing he's ok.....
