I've read Marco is still in the hospital and still has pain in his neck so his status for Assen doesn't look good. The good news is his clavicle injury is less serious than first thought.

You never know what's going to happen there...Loris on podium? He's a fighter so you can't rule him out at least not yet... we'll know more after the first practice...

I believe it was at Crash and is now confirmed at the official website. There were some crazy rumors running around yesterday and today about who would replace Gibernau. The big one was Xaus and Ben Bostrom would replace Xaus at the Misano WSB round.

Come on guys!

Now that Loris is back, I'm hoping he'll be on the podium, although I wouldn't be surprised if he has an average race as he's only now coming back & will understandably be a bit nervous.

So we'll have to see how the riders get used and perform on the new track of assen.
Seems some of them doesn't enjoys the changes.
Rossi said:In the past Assen was one of my favourite tracks and it was always a great, great emotion to ride a MotoGP bike at the limit there," explains five-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi. "Sadly the track has been changed so I am not as excited about it as usual, because it seems from reports that some of the ‘Assen magic' has gone."

But thats not a good thing Richo!!!

Look they've even straightened out the old start/finish straight which used to be wobbly.

With the changes they did 2 years ago at the back of the circuit(at the end of the super fast back straight) where it has become more 'flat' the new assen circuit wont be as twisty and as flowing as the old one.

The northern loop which has gone had really high banked corners that were basically just high speed kinks. I think thats the bit that Rossi thinks he will miss.

We will have to see.

I just wish they made new circuits more like Assen & Phillip Island nowadays.

Ps. IMO they have in fact kept the best bit(my fav bit to ride on the motogp games) which is the latter part of the track, from mandeveen to the chicane. Its those 3 right handers that get faster and faster.

This is the market for Assen win at oddchecker:
V.Rossi 2/5 -1
D.Pedrosa 7 -1
N.Hayden 12 -1
L.Capirossi 12 -1
C.Stoner 14 -1

Yes after Rossi's off ive got a feeling he wont be on race winning pace this weekend, i might have to change my predictions...

at the mo my head is saying Colin to take the win if he takes pole or 2nd in qualifying, cant see the ducati's or melandri in 2nd place for the race, so im guna go with

1. Edwards
2. Hayden
3. Stoner (as a pose to Dani, as casey seems to have had a better 1st day)

As for 4th, 5th & 6th i can see both the suzuki's being in there.
