2025 Barcelona preseason test thread

Here is a good shot of the GP25 chassis that Simon Crafar was talking about. It is super thin longitudinally to help with flex while corning, but much thicker vertically to retain stiffness/stability under braking.

This was on Pirro's VR46 bike that will become Diggia's when he returns from injury.

I started watching it last night. I did not find a clear path to it though. They had 2-3 minute video highlights but to get the complete test, I had to use the search box. I believe Annoying Twit posted he could not find it using the search box but I think that was much earlier in the day. It can take a little time before they get live feeds uploaded for consumption after the fact. There is a total of 6 hours of coverage. I only made it 1 hour before retiring for the night.
Could you possibly post a link or screenshot of the page where you navigated to videos of testing? I can't find it for the life of me.

I can and I shall but it will have to wait until I get home from work. Do you have a video pass with MotoGP.com?

Smart TV is different. Are you on the MotoGP App? You need to go to 'Current Season' on the left Menu and it is the first option after that.

"espionage" - assuming that is, that Yamaha are recording any bikes other than their own. Given that they're doing it right out in the open where they can be seen by a passing journalist, rather than covertly, it's likely quite innocent.

Yes they are doing a bit of ‘after market’ dyno work.

Reckon they and plotting the torque curve of the other bikes as they accelerate out of the corner.

As the engine torque increases, the sound of the exhaust increases, so plotting this over the speed increase, shows the torque curve over rpm.

I bet they find the KTM engine a lot different to the rest.

I have to say, I much prefer the shade of red MM had on his Ducati.

Wish they would use that instead of the dark shade of red they currently use. Looks way better in the light.
As somebody on another forum said, " Think there's an angel vs devil message in the testing livery? Pecco in white, Marc in hellboy red'.
