2024 silly season!

Not sure if Miller should have been the one moved aside, if not for Acosta, for Fabio. As said, all these moves while Qua languishing at the back on a team that doesn't want to change is just sad. Especially now that MM will be on a much better bike. Nest season could have been Qua vs MM vs Acosta (maybe) and then Binder, Bez and Bag to spice it up more...

IIRC Beirer said something to the effect that he wasn't gonna sign anyone with only Inline-4 experience after the Zarco fiasco. I don't know if he has changed his mind since then.

I think Fabio is Aprilia bound.

Yeah then MM can ride the Yamaha for his 10th title and really piss Rossi off. BTW Ago said all MM needs is few minutes to learn what buttons do what and he'll be good to go on the Duc.

KTM really stuffed up, I feel bad for Pol but agree that they have dropped the right rider as Pol is the past, especially since his injury plus his experience will make him a better choice for test rider over Augusta

I think all riders except Binder and Zarco have contracts that finish in 2024, expect to see the 2025 silly season kick off early but until M Marquez and Quartararo are signed the 2025 silly season will only go so far. We could see some signings early that have some fancy clauses in there with words to the effect "you are signed only if we aren't able to get M Marquez/Quartararo/whoever" Or as we saw with
Rin's "I'm signed unless I get a factory team offer"

I'm starting to wonder if Chantra might actually get the second LCR Honda next year. He just got a dominant win at Motegi, he won Mandalika last year and crashed from the lead at Buriram. If the next few races go well for him a promotion might be on the cards.

Senna Agius who could crown himself Moto2 European Champion today will be full-time alongside Darryn Binder at the Intact Husqvarna Moto2 team next year.
Moto3 lifer Tatsu Suzuki will replace Sasaki.

My impression was that seat was all but Ogura's but I guess his injury changed all that.

He has already signed for the MT Helmets Moto2 team.
I don't think Chantra is the most likely option for the open LCR seat. Only one of their MotoGP bikes has the Idemitsu sponsorship and Nakagami has already been confirmed to return.

Cecchinello is completely sure Zarco will ride for LCR the next year. If that's the case, my bet is that Honda will use some of the money they'll save from not paying Marc's 2024 salary to tempt one the guys already employed in MotoGP, maybe Mav or Oliveira as it has been rumored. Oli must have been on low wages since he entered MotoGP so he's the easiest choice to tempt, even though the machinery is a downgrade. Maybe even Miller but he's had his chance with two factory rides, impressing nobody in the process. I don't think they would place Lecuona on the Repsol seat permanently, he doesn't have that level.

Mav would be red lining that bike into oblivion by day 2 of testing. If honda are just throwing names at the dart board in hopes one will stick let me add one, Toprak Razmatazfoggygluestick.

Cant's see Sofuaglu letting that happen.

Late to the partay!

Just a hole in the front for hand jobs and one in the back for tacobell. I had them bandage my eyes so I couldn't see who was giving them.

Giving or receiving man?

More money in being the giving kind with plaster - some people have kinks you know.

Acosta in Espargaro out. That is the correct decision. He better be on a factory spec bike or you are wasting a year of his life.

IMO and yes, allow bias but the most obvious logical decision.

What has Pol actually achieved in race result terms given his length of tenure in the top class?

For years people whined about Pedrosa producing little and today we hear the same whinges about Miller (here comes my bias) but somehow, the Asparagus brothers have been near untouchable yet combined they have less main game podiums than does the maligned Miller, and that from near 2.5 times the total number of races (151 Miller vs 391 the brothers combined)

Nope, right decision although I also now wait to see if Acosta will be as good as people believe and become the next benchmark.

Can’t see Honda being stupid enough to take a punt on Vin to fill MM shoes, he couldn’t even fill his bath! His massive show of disrespect to a fellow Japanese manufacturer has already killed the possibility. Just get ready for smoke and mirrors producing his season end contract saving race, you know it’s coming. 🥴

Just expect the exact opposite of what Günther Wiesinger writes to come true.

From what I know, the Espargaros are very well off. Private chopper to euro races etc. They have paid there way to be there this long. It's certainly not on performance.

Another article on the subject here.

Honda warned "not simple” to recruit Maverick Vinales to replace Marc Marquez

As you said, why the .... does motogp jerk this guy off so much? He didn't do much against Rossi, he sucked against Fabio, has done .... all bar a few podiums on the Aprilia. Adding in the mix his behavior on the Yamaha in Styria 2021 and Honda think THIS is the guy to lead their revival?!?!

I'd prefer Andrea Iannone to him.

Totally agree. Hell I'd prefer Dovi.
