So, Luigi Dalligna has finally nailed it. The man is a machine. From surviving smoking 45 cigarettes per day to having MM in his prime leaving the official Honda to jump on his 1 year old bike, it's not even the lastest version LOL.

Someone please bring an oscar to this guy.

Signing A. Marq was the means to an end.

Now lets see whom does Honda sign, and if they promote Zarco to the Repsol seat. They should try nabbing Augusto Fernández but most likely they'll go with a boring Lecuona announcement.

As sports have becoming increasingly reliant upon media revenues to improve their bottom line, the easier it has been to detect puppeteering by the leagues and caucuses behind the scenes.

I suspect Rossi/Burgess to Yamaha was an exercise in pulling strings as Honda realized MotoGP was not a sport without Yamaha. I also think Marquez to Gresini is part of a back room deal, probably spawned by HRC’s admission that they cannot squeeze enough money from corporate or sponsors to update their organization to compete under the current formula.

Marc riding another season on a bad Honda is not only terrible for ratings, it’s also bad for Honda as they receive the blame for Marquez lack of a 7th premier class title. Marc to Gresini also makes sense if you see the current formula as Marc vs machine because he will allegedly not get a factory spec Ducati.

I appreciate the need to keep the sport fresh and the riders moving around, but that’s where the meddling needs to end. The MSMA’s introduction of devices to lessen the influence of the rider has knocked the sport on its ear, and is creating increasingly strange goings-on. Definitely entertaining, but also completely unnecessary in a sport for gladiators.

I'm obviously relieved to hear today's news.
While I've been praying for this to happen for months, it still will be extremely strange to see Marc in different colors next year.

End of an era.

I'm completely sure there is manipulation behind the scenes. And to be honest, strong manipulation. Well, I'm a bit conspiracist also.

But now imagine yourself Marc Marquez announcing he's going to KTM catching everybody off-guard. LOL

KTM has the money needed to send home (or to Gresini) any of their riders.

Looks like he won't be bringing his crew with him. I assume he will get Franky Carchedi as a crew chief then? Not a bad one to have!

(For those not in the know, he was Mir's crew chief at Suzuki)

Well, I'm not sure that earning money from entertainment necessarily invokes "conspiracy", but my point was that Gigi is probably a passenger in this deal. Sure, he can take some pride in knowing that the best riders all want to be on his bike in 2024, but Ducati are treating this like a stop-gap rather than a full coup. Ducati are not allowing Marc to bring his crew because they are allegedly worried that the crew (and maybe Marc) will be departing in the near future.

What does that mean? Who knows? The pay at Gresini would not be good enough to keep Marc's people around for long? Marc will be departing in the near future for another manufacturer? Marc will buy Gresini with his brother and move the satellite team back into Honda's camp? We need a crystal ball.
