2020 Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana Circuit Ricard Tormo

Perhaps Brivio had something to do with Yamaha’s success as well.

Still find Simon Crafar’s voice grating btw, even though what he says is commonly quite reasonable.

Might be a coincidence but he left at the end of 2010, one year prior to the slow downhill slide.

Re: Yamaha. They've seemed to be on a slow downward trend since they lost their main sponsor back about 9 years ago. Takes money to make real innovations; the lack of it isn't great for moral. Yamaha just doesn't seem to be as invested as Honda, tho Honda might suffer the same if they lost Repsol.

That in mind, Suzuki's trajectory over these last few years is just so damned impressive.

Honda has announced a retreat from F1. All the manufacturers are hurting for $. That makes Suzuki's effort even more impressive.

Mir needs like 14 points over the next 2 races to win the title? Barring two disasters you would have to think he gets it done. I called it a while back, that I thought his consistency this year would get it done for him. He’s been great.

Yamaha completely bottled it this year. It seems they tried to cheat somehow. Can’t help but feel this is karma. In their defence it seemed the .... up was made before Marquez ruled himself out for the year.

Dovi completely bottled it this year. I’m sure the direction of the Duc and/or improvement to the other bikes plus a tyre that may not suit them are also to blame.

Maverick was Maverick this year. Nothing new.

The air apparent, Fabio whom the Valeban recently pinned all their hopes on didn’t handle the pressure well at all.

I’m so happy for Suzuki, they’re looking like their will take the treble.

Michelin will introduce a new front next year to match the new rear we had this year. Shall we read it: all the trouble starts over again?

Some commentators make it sound like Marquez crashing was almost Dovi fault. Why is that. Dovi made a legit pass and went into turn as fast as he could on that Ducati.

I don't see where it was Dovi's fault at all. I think Marquez misread the situation and came in a bit too hot not expecting Dovi to slow as much as he did going into the corner.

Finally got to watch the race. Very impressive performance by Mir.
They showed a list of his laptimes. Consistent and fast.
Impressive the push to get a gap once he got the lead.

He's a great personality with what looks like great mental strength. Very mature for his years.

I don’t think it’s unfair to say Dovi caused Alex to crash but it is unfair to say that the crash was Dovi’s fault. Aleix’s crash caused Fabio to crash but Fabio crashing is not Aleix’s fault. I think sometimes causation does not always mean at fault. Of course in both instances Fabio and Alex both made mistakes that caused them to crash.

Somehow I do not believe Marquez will visit the podium this season again. His confidence got a great boost and then he crashed. Methinks this crash ended his success streak for now.

Alex has one race left to prove me wrong.
