Quali tommali! If it went like FP2 today - twould be interesting to say the least. Not saying folks are sandbagging - but the top guys are not in a hurry to demonstrate pace potential. Marquez has only taken a win here once in a premier class race.

Its still MM's to lose, he's not been feeling well but he's there.
Great to see the rookies doing so well, Quatararo is outstanding, just hope Yamaha don't put a plank through the wheel, showing up the 1st team.

Quartararo needs to demonstrate that he's not like Vinales and do a very good race... start to finish. But he's showing promise, for sure.

Marc should be forced to start at the back of the grid since he used Dovi for a tow. Ducati should protest.

Tows are not prohibited. Dovi should be forced to retire.

Not according to the usual suspects here after Rossi won pole at Mugello by getting in Vinales' slipstream a couple years ago.

Quartararo did more earn pole since he had the fastest lap without a tow.

Great lap by Quartararo. He is certainly showing up the Factory riders!!

Marquez did it again.....

:superman2:

A serious question. Why satellite Yamaha is better than the factory?
Can someone redirect me to a thread here or an external article, whatever, that analyses why this could be happening?

Thank you.

Patronas threw money at Yamaha to get factory bikes. The rest is the riders I guess.

Fair enough, but Zarco has been up there with the factory boys in the past two seasons as well, before Petronas and before having an "equal" bike. And satellite bike didn't experience the issues the factory did.

The trouble with the official Yamaha team is its 1st generation, the SRT Yamaha is the 2nd gen and they are better riders.

Pretty sure they’re all on the same equipment now, only Morbidelli was going to get the factory bike but their money meant Quatararo got one as well.

Nope, Quatararo's bike is down on power and revs, they don't get new parts the same as Rossi, Vinales either.

Mind you I bet Zarco's kicking himself now.
