Who will their respective battles and rival, and the title....?

Post your predictions before 2015 testing starts...

Overall?

1 - Rossi
2 - MM
3 - Dani

Yamaha will come back with a good package to give just enough more of an edge over MM...Honda always strong will keep giving MM what he needs, but at the same time MM will be more beatable mentally....Ross will hopefully then take his 10th title...

Battle of the Satellite Hondas - Scott or Cal?
Cal
CC will take this battle due to experience, but Scott shouldnt be to far behind coming within a place or 2 vs Cal in overall standings....

Battle of Open Hondas?
1 - Jack Miller
2 - Laverty
3 - Hayden
4 - Karl
Miller will get lots of backing from Honda, so any issue with his will be sorted out fast for him. Also, he is young and hungry to prove he is top dog in this class...like Scott in 2014, Jack will rise above the others here....
Hayden would be second, but that wrist is going to keep being an issue and a worry for him and Aspar....
Laverty will be fearless and do his best to impress and get a better ride in 2015, and so will beat out all but Jack

Battle of Satellite Yamaha?
Bradley Smith
Not because Bradley is much better than Pol, it will come down to Pol pushing too hard and crashing lots .... all in an effort to prove he deserves a factory ride in 2016, and that he is as good as MM (which he isnt)....Bradders will calm down and be consistent enough to win here, but it wont save him from being moved to open class in 2016...

Battle of Open Class Yamaha's
Stefan Bradl
No question Baz wont adapt very well to GPs and will rival no one in points on his license in 2015..Bradl will be his usual calm boring self to beat his teammate.

The DUCATI Battle
Dovi
My heart says Iannone, but my head knows Dovi will be in top 6 in 2015. Crazy Joe will surprise the field with a podium or 4....

Battle of the Open Ducatis
1. Yonny
2. Hector
3. Mike
4. Dani P.
This is the group to rival the Suzuki and Aprilia back markers...

SUZUKI Cup
Maverick
Maverick will win by learning all of 2015, and preparing for 2016+ Suzuki see him as their future not A. Espargus....Aleix will ride well but be frustrated by lack of power, and will make more than a few mistakes taking himself out....unless Baz does it for him first...

APRILIA Fight
Marco
Just cause he wont push since he doesnt to be in GPs, and so if he doesnt push he wont crash and though I am sure if he has a choice he will jump off the bike and let it slam into the wall....
The others will just be there for laughs.....

Open Class Title Winners
1 - Miller
2 - Laverty
3 - Hayden
This class will finally be owned by Honda....

Any other Battles and your predictions?

I think going into 2015 the only rider who can beat MM is MM... I think it is still going to be his championship to loose. I would like to think that the Yamahas will be able to close the gap, but there is little evidence to suggest that will be the case. As for Ducati, Dall'Igna had all of 2014 to get ready for this season, however the GP15 seems to be delayed until late February, so its boom or bust for them this season.

Marquez
Lorenzo
Pedrosa
Rossi
Crutchlow
Dovi
Iannone
P Espargaro
Redding
Hayden

I have never clicked on a members profile so fast in all my life!
I predict a spectacular battle between JLo and MM. One to be remembered over the decades.
Dani and Vale nowhere.
Dovi will shine.

I doubt Rossi will do too well next year. The YZR-M1 will probably be a lot better than this year, especially early on, but I think Márquez will be on top again, followed by Lorenzo, and then maybe Pedrosa. I think the Ducatis will be faster next year, probably Dovi ahead of Iannone.

It should be MM but I think his teamate DP will be in such a anxious state they may well crash lots ala DP 2006 when he took out Nicky a couple of times.

Of the Yamaha pair well I fancy Rossi over Lorenzo.

The 3 crashers this year will be PE, AE, and bin it Bradl.

Nice to see Aprilia back again as long as it's not another "Cube".

But I'd really like to see some no hoper win the title, its getting boring.

PS maybe someone in the paddock could spray all the tyres with wd40

I predict a year when the Factory Yamaha and Honda will be as close to parity over a lap as they have been since the demise of the 990.

I also predict a year of battles at the front. Battles mean spills and spills will have an impact on the championship.

I predict Rossi to be the Champion in 2015 by a close margin to MM and then an equally close JL. DP fighting the satellites.

Miller to be talk of the season.

Anybody know anything about the BT Sport Line up for this year? I assume they will have a consistant host this year after all the chopping and changing last year? Commentators and pit guys the same?

Also MotoGP.com commentators????, have seen Greg Haynes on the WSBK coverage @ phillp Island, so is he doing both (clashes) or just WSBK now?

MM93 is the inevitable first candidate, just as JL99 is likely to be the closest contender.

VR46 can be considered the third fastest rider still, and he undoubtely has huge experience, but those two are faster than him.

That doesn't mean Rossi can't win his 10th title: it wouldn't be the first time that someone ranking 3rd or 4th pulls it off at the end of the season. It all depends on the scenarios that will develop. Of course he'd need Marquez and Lorenzo to have more problems than him during the year, then he could prevail thanks to better consistency and a couple wins, a la Hayden 2006 so to say...

Among the others I'm mostly curious about Iannone; not for a title challenge of course, but for the occasional dogfight with the top three, which could earn him podiums and, who knows, that elusive first post-CS27 win for Ducati.

I agree...
I really think Rossi is going to give MM93 and JL99 a run for their money this year more than he did last year....
I think Iannone is going to be MM93 and Rossi's best friend this year by really mostly frustrating JLo by disrupting his metronomic approach to racing....

Does anyone remember how long of contract A.Espagaro has with Suzuki, one or two years?
If one then I think JLo or P.Esparagus will be tempted to jump to them....especially if they are able to get some halfway decent results....

MM93 had the best race simulations so far in testing, rossi did not have very good simulation runs, though he has always been someone who steps it up on race day. I think the ducatis are going to be the biggest variable, no doubt they have a faster bike as well as two very good riders, but my prediction is that they will still be "in the way" of the real podium contenders.

yes yamaha will have a good package but mm is still the best rider out there. he does things with the bike that nobody else can do. for me its mm 1st lorenzo or rossi second and pedrosa 4th as i feel he is a shadow of himself.

How can anyone discount Rossi as a very real potential winner, he is the best EVER, last year he beat Lorenzo, which no one expected, except me.

Give him a reasonable bike and he will carry it over the line if necessary.

Cheers

savey

if I were going to put money down my head would be MM93 and my heart would be VR46

however if we can get any other manufacturer and I'm thinking Ducati are showing a wheel to their intentions into the top 3 it will make the future of the sport so much brighter.

Maverick Vinales once the sooki is up to speed will have the top riders sweating like a pregnant nun

makings of the best season since I have been a fan
