2010 second part: the "Mundialito"

Ah, another Bopper thread! Mundalitoppers. So when Stoner came back last year, did he win the "Mundalito"?

To catch you guys up to speed, basically, the Boppers are proposing a "private championship" they call a "Mundalito", that's an Italian word for "small world" as in "alternate world championship"; for the remaining rounds (well actually, starting when Rossi becomes competitive, so perhaps when he wins one.) So Sach doesn't count, its was only a "warm-up" round for Rossi.
<
Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is the world of Bopperdumb.

How about we have a "Mundalito" and cherry pick just the rounds Pedrosa wins? Hahahaha Povol, you've been one of the few voices of reason in this thread. Its funny to see the Boppers so supportive of the first loser in a title...in their eyes, if Rossi comes 2nd he somehow wins some kinda 'mini championship'? Yes people, this is the universe they live in. Geez, its too easy to .... with them. And these are the fools we are to take seriously? The most ardent supporters of this "private title" posting here are: Talpa, Inam, J4rno, Babel. What does this tell you? (And they call BM crazy? .... you guys make him look like a NASA rocket scientist) Ah ok, lets go back and see all the 2nd place riders in history, perhaps Dorna should call them up and say, 'hey, you forgot to pick up your trophy we have waiting for you, its the "Mundalito", you won!" So can we go back next year and eliminate the rounds where Lorenzo got hurt (on his own, it wasn't some act of God) and just take the races he did well and call him the "Mundalito" champ? Wait, perhaps I'm not understanding the entire idiocy of this idea, so does the "Mundalito" count only if Rossi comes in 2nd place? So if he comes in 3rd overall but beats Lorenzo in the rounds you guys decided are "valid" then does he also win the "Mundalito"?

This is why I have a fieldday with these fools. Really, you can absolutely separate the Boppers from the Rossi Fans. Curve & Roger, V, are you hearing this ....? What other Rossi fans are excited and wiling to post and defend this "private championship"?

2009 Lorenzo "Mundalito" champ! (Or was it Stoner? Not sure, having trouble understanding since I don't speak Crazy to well).

2008 Stoner "Mundalito" champ!

2007 Pedrosa "Mundalito" champ!

Oh, wait, I'm the crazy one, right Babel, Talpa, and the dumbest of the three...inam? (For the record, J4rno, you are undoubt the smartest of the bunch, but dude, why expose yourself with such a ridiculous premise?)

Clearly shows that you have lost your reading ability all togather ......., can you point out my post in this topic regarding so called "Mundalito".

First, "mundialito" is a Spanish word.

Second, nobody "proposes" a mundialito, what I say is that it is just happening. That you like it or not.

Third, as I said, this is nothing new. Rossi and Barros raced the last races of 2002 with a pizza as prize, after Rossi had already won the title and Barros had just been given the RC211. Remember? Do you want to deny that as well? Talk to Povol then, a double denial will become almost something true
<

Last, almost I forgot: Lorenzo has not won the championship yet, after all.
<

And yes, of course, Stoner won his mini season after returning last year. He rode really well. Where's the problem?

So jumkie do you have no reply?

Do you think it is enough to scream "bopper"? It isn't.

Your debating skills are weak, that's why you prefer the political approach of "us" against "them" -- convenient when one is short of ideas.

I must say, your whole "bopper" obsession is a nuisance. In a thread like this there were many interesting points raised -- but no, you have to flatten everything to the level of your silly crusade, that brings an otherwise interesting forum down to the low levels of too many other forums. Pity.

He's defending 'barry the great' in that post.........that says it all
<

Not capable to say anything -- as expected. And Jumkie is still in hiding, i see
<

I have made numerous post that show my view on this notion of a "Mundialato", they are views in agreement with several others.

You choose to ignore that, thats your business
<

Your view on the "notion" boils down to the usual "bopper" dumb labelling that does not (because probably cannot) provide any ideas or interesting views on the internal Yamaha conflict in the second half of this season. I never said that Rossi is going to win this challenge with Lorenzo (that would have been bopperism) i simply stated that this challenge is going inevitably to mark all the races from Misano onwards. Far from being a "notion" the mundialito is a fact that no doubt Lorenzo himsf understands and accepts much more than you or Jumkie... Rather than denying it Lorenzo will try to win it. And Yamaha, how will they try to manage the situation?

But you (three of you to be precise) say all this is uninteresting and bopperish. Let me laugh!
<

I can appreciate the concept of this mundialito or whatever based on the fact that as you have pointed out j4rn0 we have observed them before, like with Stoner's return last year, or Barros getting the v5 in 02. I don't think they hold nearly the significance you are making of it, as Barros won in 02 and Stoner won last year... look how that worked out. It's pretty obvious that in both these cases what we've actually seen is a rider not winning the title gaining a small amount of pride while the rider who does win the title not really giving a .... at all. It's really just a way for the fans and media to try and get a different slant on the way the champonship unfolded, to entertain themselves and find something else to talk about besides the result that matters (maybe they don't like that result, maybe it was so predictable its already been accepted)

What i think is totally ridiculous is the way you have decided where this mini championship should start and then gone on to try and justify it as reasonable instead of being open about the fact you are trying to stack it in Rossi's favour as much as possible. If you think its simply about weighing up the two riders after Rossi's comeback, then its already started. Rossi is losing 2 rounds in (just like the real championship). If you want the start of this thing to hold off until circumstances are more level then we will have to wait until Jorge has rapped up the title, but thats silly. How many races did Barros get to adapt in 02? How many races did Casey get to return to form last year? If you over manipulate the results to get the outcome you want, all value is lost.

Example: There was a Mundialito last year, it was from the french GP to the Dutch GP. I've chosen to neglect the first three races because everyone takes time to get settled into the year, removed Laguna and Germany because they are standout tracks, UK because Lorenzo was struck by bad luck and nothing after summer counts because championship pressure is too high. Lorenzo won, he is the better rider when all is equal, yay well done........................

Aw no way Tom !! the Mundialato last year was from Portugal( inc.) to Malaysia (inc.) Stoner won!

I would agree that Stoner won the Mundialato after he returned from his break. I think even Rossi wasn't very pleased that he didn't end the season with many wins as he hoped and I am not sure that Vale didn't give a .... at all last year.

No Tom, i'm not -- believe it or not -- convinced that Rossi will win this mundialito. Actually I doubt it. Simply, i find this rivalry the only interesting motive in an otherwise super-boring season.

I even think Lorenzo was going to win this year even if Rossi had not missed one race. The shoulder injury was enough to tilt it Lorenzo's side -- so tight was the balance between these two.

Although I'd like to believe that a mini championship is on foot and to Rossi it probably is. Lorenzo only has his eyes on one thing and it isn't Rossi. It's the championship. He only needs to stay on his bike now to bring it home.

As for the comments regarding Stoner's comeback last year, is everyone forgetting that there was nothing actually wrong with him? Either way, he still out performed Rossi at the end however you would also have to acknowledge that the Championship was what Rossi was after and rode to get it.

Your line of argument might prove very convenient in later life. If you die from say, a heart attack, you can argue that you aren't actually dead because you don't have a fracture.

I am not sure that stoner did beat rossi over all the races on his return last year; I can't be bothered adding it up but as I recall he didn't score many points at valencia.
