surprised to see bautista off the podium but he had a mechanical problem. oh well at least the championship was'nt at stake. good to see DeAngelis get his 1st win. 113 races & finally... lorenzo takes it. no surprise he did what he needed, brought the championship home without any foolishness. dovi sure was a dissapointment did'nt seem to have it at all. of course debon sure did a beautiful job of blocking him. damn the seasons over it's just starting to set in
<

I was happy to see Lorenzo winning championship, he deserved it. Dovizioso had probably worst race of the season at very bad moment.

In 125 I was very impressed by Pol Espargaro's performance. His bike wasn't very fast on straights but he kept going and finished sixth. Likely star of the future.

Oh I forgot!

Congratulations to Lorenzo (new 250cc world champion), DeAngelis (maiden GP win) and Faubel (125cc GP winner)!
<

and with Espargaro only being 15... man that kid has talent. can see him and brad smith being forces to reckon with in the future... give them the right machinery and some experience and they'll be right

It seems the Pons team wont happen, Barberá has signed a contract directly with Aprilia, Aprilia will probably put him in Team Toth.

The bikes are distributed like this:

Official 250cc works 2007 bikes:
Jorge Lorenzo
Alex de Angelis
Hector Barberá
Álvaro Bautista
Roberto Locatelli
Tom Lüthi

Aprilia LE bikes (2006 works bikes)
Marco Simoncelli
Imre Toth
Karel Abraham
??
??

The rest of Aprilias will be standard RS bikes with kit (aka cheap .... bikes)

Julían Simón has left the works KTM 125cc team to join the 250cc repsol Honda team.

There's quite a few Brits this season to cheer over.

Update on Muresan

He was presented in Helsinki as Ajo Motorsport rider alongside Michael Ranseder.

Robert Muresan is the first Romanian motorcyclist to compete in the World Motorcycling Championship for the 125 cc class.
Robert Muresan is fifteen years old (he's turning 16 in 22 march) and has been riding motorcycles since he was six. Muresan was the motorcycling National Champion in 2003 and won the Balkan Motorcycling Championship in 2004. His accumulated points in various championships led to Romania's first point obtained in European motorcycling.
He also participated at famous races such as Sachsenring, Jerez, and Hungaroring. Robert Muresan tested motorcycles for KTM but the prices proved to be too high. Robert Muresan was the first Romanian motorcyclist to be included in a trial session for a motorcycle producer.

He took part in 3 gp races this season ... Turkey/Assen and Brno
But he was spotted by various team in brno when he finnished 27th from 44 riders on the grid and he started on the pitt line

Added Westy to the list, who gets the final LE model ??

Is this list correct, Locatelli and Simoncelli are riding for the Gilera team, but is it as simple as Aprilias with a different paint job? If this is so, i am surprised to see Loca getting full works kit!!

Hes going to be on a factory Gilera, which is pretty well a factory Aprilia, Simoncelli is going to be riding the same Gilera from 2006

Sweet, i dunno how much i've fallen behind, but is the Sedorf team running Hondas or Aprilias in 07?

And does anybody think Honda is gonna sor tout its effort in the smaller classes?
