it was awsome, What a way to make valencia an eye candy race, man, Dovi Dovi, you can Do it
<

No contest in the 125's..

Bautista again, with a 15 sec lead!!!

15 frikkin' seconds. How is that possible?
<
I think we're witnessing the future multiple world champion here.

Great win by Dovi, Lorenzo had a bad day, so inconsistant. The title will be decided at Valencia, still I think Lorenzo has a big advantage.

125cc had an interesting fight for 2nd between the KTMs and Faubel, Bautista should have been put with the 250cc, that was humilliating for the rest of the riders.

That said, Bautista had a new bike, the 2007 Aprilia prototype, it has a completely new engine. I feel sympathy for the non-Aprilia riders next season.

By the way, Bautista has beaten Rossi's record of most points per season. Rossi amassed 321 points in 125cc in 1997, Bautista has 325 points with one race to go.

ah teo, the next spanish golden boy aheee. how do u think he'll fair in the 250s next season. think he can take it in his 1st try like dani?

^ I thought Bautista was staying in 125's for the next season at least?

pretty sure he's on his way to the 250 aspar squad.

I'm not sure he can do that, the level in 250cc with Lorenzo, Dovizioso, Aoyama, DeAngelis, Barberá staying and all the 125cc newcomers Kallio, Lüthi and Bautista is going to be brutal.

Plus I don't have the same level of confidence on Bautista I had on Dani, Dani has that Rossiesque ability of riding fast on anything 2 wheeled, Bautista had a big flop last year with Honda, he had a great season in 2004 and 2006 with Aprilia, but I think he needs a bike and team that suits him. I don't know, maybe the bad experience last year has toughened him up but I don't know how could he cope with a string of bad results.

There's no point in staying in 125cc, been there won that, time to move on.

250s should be awesom next season!
<

I also thought Bautista was staying at 125s next year? Even if he does go to 250s he's not going to have it all his own way with the likes of Dovizioso, Aoyama, DeAngelis and Barberá onboard!

i said it somewhere else but Lorenzo Luthi and Bautista are gonna be in one team riding 250cc factory Aprilia's next year with Emmi Cafe Latte as the main sponsor...

TOM LUTHI MOVES UP TO THE 250 CLASS WITH AN APRILIA

Tom Luthi will begin his first season in the 250 class in the saddle of an Aprilia bike, with all the support of the factory team. The main sponsor, Emmi, took on the team name and just two days before the end of the season they have already begun the first trials, which seem promising. Tom Luthi and the new Emmi Caffè Latte Aprilia team are very excited about the class change.
Next year, the Emmi Caffè Latte Team will become the official factory team for the Aprilia 250 class. That will entail a full support system for Tom Luthi, who will not only receive the best materials and will take advantage of the immense know-how of the Aprilia Racing division, but he will also be involved in the perfecting of the motorcycles. “For me as a Swiss person, it’s really an honour to receive this offer from Aprilia,” said Tom Luthi with satisfaction.
Aprilia is part of the Italian group Piaggio and its Racing division employees about 100 people. Next season, together with Luthi, Alvaro Bautista, new champion of the 125 class, and Jorge Lorenzo will race. “The 250 represents the apple of Aprilia’s eye, therefore, we’re part of the most important Italian team! This is a huge privilege for us!” said Daniel Epp. Also for Emmi, the main sponsor, the move to Aprilia is a positive sign and gives hope for the next season. “We’re convinced that with both Tom Luthi and Sandro Cortese have demonstrated that they are ready for the step up next year” said Erich Kienle, marketing director for Emmi.
The Swiss Markus Egloff will take on an important position at the technical level. Also from a personal point of view, this is a step up for the factory team: Aprilia will make three technicians available that will be responsible for the engine and frame and they will work directly in the box. The decision regarding the personal will be made together with the factory team, especially where it will concern the function of the head mechanics and the telemeter and data registration technicians. Now, Luthi will have two mechanics for each of his two bikes, which are identical. The current head technician, German Sepp Schlogl, will not move to Aprilia, and therefore is leaving the team. In his place, taking over the direction of all technical aspects, will be Markus Egloff, who was until now responsible for the motorcycle of Luthi’s teammate, Sandro Cortese. The Swiss technician has had great success as a rider in the sidecar world championship and already has a lot of experience with Aprilia and the Motorcycle GP.

No, this can't be right. Aspar and sponsors would not let Bautista leave. And Lorenzo has his own structure and sponsors, why would he move away?

For the Brits

Just noticed Chaz Davies has made a one off return in the 250's riding a Honda for the Grillini Racing Team.

Yes and Bautista off the podium.

250 race was cool with a couple of bad crashes...well done De Angelis for his maiden win.

And Lozy the new World Champ for playing it safe and bringing the bike home.
