us yank's have this new kid to root for in 125s.... steve bonsey. maybe after we get a couple of kids in the smaller classes they'll bring the whole show here.

Catalunya test is all done now, looks like the 250's will be tight this year, i can't wait. Nice to see Pesek going well, and Smith is getting closer to the fron every time, nice positive stuff.

Where are the KTM guys though, i didn't see any on the times, or am i a fool?

i know... i was wonderin that myself. maybe they were'nt there?

I dont think the KTM's were there which is a shame, as i was looking forward to see how good Aoyama is. Whens the next 125 and 250 test?

Just happened!

Bradley Smith equal first on day one, third on day two.

If this kid can keep up testing pace and improve, I predict a bright future.

Unless he starts to read the British press. ¬_¬

Barbera is making himself into an obvious championship threat. Could be a Titanic battle between the two quick spaniards, although hopefully not Lorenzos undoing. Nice to see De angelis consistently fast in all the tests so far. But it looks like KTM have some catching up to do. And as i predicted, Luthi is getting the better of other rookies.

was raining today at jerez. only a handful of riders went out.

125s start tommorro. really curious to see how b. smith & s. bonsey go. if the honda is any good smith should be at the pointy end this season. hope it's dry.

yeah i am interested to see how Bonsey goes, but i too hope its dry. At least Ant West got himself a chance to actually go faster than some people

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Feb 19 2007, 09:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>But it looks like KTM have some catching up to do.

1st and 3rd today for KTM.

First off it was raining and a lot of the really quick guys didn't bother riding, so i don't think much has changed. But i have read that they are testing a new chassis, and although they seemed low in the test session, i don't doubt that they will get to the front of the tomesheets soon enough.

the 125 are running.... anyone registered with MOTOGP.COM?

live timing is up, but can't access it here at work...can sombody please post how Bonsey is doing??

Dude its 9pm local time in Jerez, the 125's will ve running tomorrow at 10am. It seems live timing is available now, but i couldn't get it for the 250's. I wonder what thats about.

blast.

yeah somtimes it shows avail...but obviously it's not i guess...oh well we'll see tomorrow..

Simon, Shuhei I can't keep up with my brother and Simoncelli only quick people i can see not out....?

Albeit that most people didn't do anywhere as many laps (and quite possibly not in the dryer conditions later in day) as KTM...so looks like they're doing the required work.

1'45sec not bad in the "wet-dry" conditions?

Anyway...I'm not there so am only reading the classifications. I like the (what's) new (to me) results service on motogp.com.

I got the live timing for the 250s today - unfortunately I wasn't at the pc much though.

Oh I'd just like to praise Kallio's professionalism for doing 64 laps today...or is that out of being scared sless of the opposition?
<

well got live timming running at the moment & koyama & ktm at the top with a lap time of 1.48.175. pole lap is 1.46.937, 06, pasini. circuit best lap 1.47.404, 06, pesek.

hes made some progress now, gone a second faster than he did this morning. He still sits 3.8s off the pace and 28th place but its very early days.

Does this kid have any road racing experience at all?

he's doing well, cause NOPE, no road race experience beyond a few track days in the states.. he is the current US Flat track Champion...

Very impressive stuff, i look foreward to seeing how that progresses. The standard fast guys came good at the end of todays running, Pasini, Talmasci and Pesek are all looking good. Smith was only half a second down, and looked to be quicket honda, which is great stuff.

Crash.net has uploaded photos of this years 250cc bikes, and almost all of them look fantastic. I am very excited about this years entry list, and think it could be a classic season
