Good win for Lozzy, Kallio was unlucky and nice to see our Bradley Smith being consistant in the 125.

Yeah good wins in the 2 classes. Lorenzo looked untouchable and a good improvement into 2nd for Alex de Angelis. Bradley Smith did well and finished in 12th and I feel sorry for Kallio when he retired near the end as he was doing so well!

Pretty chuffed with those races, Faubel played the race perfectly in 125 but they need to get Talmasci on one of the 07 bikes because he is fast, and quite a character with it. Shame for PAsini so early but if he has championship form i doubt it'll stop him.

As for the 250cc race, what can i say. Lorenzo is the best rider out there, and on another level, good effort from my man. I was a little disapointed with Bautista, even though i did predict that mistakes will hold him back as he is a rookie. Luthi was the top Rookie (which i also predicted), and what an excellent ride he put in. Looks like De angelis and to a lesser extent Barbera will be Lorenzos biggest trouble, Dovi wont be able to produce much if the honda doesn't get a tad more competative.

I liked the 125cc race, nice fight between Faubel and Talmacsi, I like Gabor's amiable character, but GO FAUBEL ALL THE WAY!!!! He's not only Spaniard but from a town 10km away from mine

250cc I was a bit dissapointed there wasn't really much fight. Lorenzo (probably the only Spaniard I don't support) seemed superior. I was hoping Barberá would dogfight him all the way but just couldn't keep up the pace all the race. DeAngelis seems to me like the fast guy with no killer instinct, always up there never a champion.
Dovi has talent but he's such a whiner that makes me dislike him.
The rookies were strong, but they are talented guys (Bautista, Lüthi, Kallio), this could be a great season with some much fresh talent there.

125 was good. i hope faubel or pascini win the title this year, although pascini has some catching up to do...

250 was boring. i cannot believe bautista crashed, when does he EVER do that?! and luthi seems to suit 250's thank god, last year was disasterous for him
<
Bautista to win!!!! ... another one with catching up to do

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (stop_killing_dead_things @ Mar 12 2007, 02:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>i cannot believe bautista crashed, when does he EVER do that

When he is an inexperienced rookie, just as many riders do!! I warned you didn't i.

Hes no ......, i think he'll learn pretty quick. I expect a win or two this season.

well i must say i missed the 125s
<
i could'nt wake up in time. but caught the 250s & enjoyed the race. figured lorenzo for the win & i think the others will have a hard time keepin up with him during the season. i think we'll see more dog fighting as the season progresses & it was good to see luthi fighting with vets at the front. i was hoping the ktm would be better & see kallio up there. shame his bike crapped out on him. not a good start for bautista but he'll be alright & i expect he'll be at the front soon enough.

250cc Qualy

Lorenzo continues to rule the 250cc category, Barberá continues to be his archrival, today they met on track, Lozzy waved his arm as in "get out of my way" and Barberá replied by doing a wheelie whilst staring sideways to Lozzy, pretty cool.
<

Simón was 3rd, the rookie was quite impressive, beating Dovi to be the best Honda (maybe Lorenzo is right about Dovi being a whiner??).

Bad news is Robby Locatelli had a serious crash, he broke his ankle but the worst part is he hit his head badly, he's at hospital right now in Cádiz, doctors says he's stable after inducing him in a comma.

<span style="color:#330000<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%<u>My 125cc Race Review</u>
If Moto GP is going to be anything as entertaining as today's 125cc race then we're in for a cracker!
<

A great start from English lad Bradley Smith, up from 11th to 6th and then 8th under the brakes! Bradley was doing so well until Pesini (starting from the back of the grid) was trying to overtake Bradley for P8 and accidently took himself, and Bradley out. Pesini retired whilst Smith came in for some adjustments and went back out in P13 which is very respectable, but P29 a few laps later.
15 year-ols Espagaro seems to have a good start and consistent for first 4 or 5 laps but then heads down the grid. He was 3rd after the first few laps but P6 after lap 4 or 5!
Unlucky for Corsi crashing out, seemed like he thought he'd have a go at horse racing, not motorbike racing. They seemed to be dropping like flies! The race was a tad boring with around 12 laps to go as the bikes were splitting away from each other, but still lots of battles were taking place and positions were being swapped.
Pesek ended up reeling in Talmasci by 0.1s a lap, things started to heat up and also the heat for positions 4,5,6,7,8 were really getting over-crowded - especially down the straights and into the first corner!
WHAT A FINISH! WHAT A FINISH!! TALMASCI JUST EDGED THE WIN BY A MILLIMETRE FROM PESEK, BRILLIANT STUFF!

Robert Muresan finidhed 18th!!!
<
<

Best result for him so far! I'm happy for him!!

250cc was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic, 4 riders (until Barberá crashed out) fighting for the lead in every corner!!! 3 bikes in parallel , 3rd to first.

Lorenzo won again, with some Rossiesque celebration where he had his own flag set on the ground!

Sure was. Looking forward to when they make it 10 riders fighting for the lead sometime this season when everyone's on fire
<
250s rule this year.

Note for Bradley Smith who rode valiently to finish 0.3 behind second to last place in last place after closing up a 30+ second gap. Very professional job!

Laverty got points - hey i thought he was from Northern Ireland...oops

Great race! Looks like Mr.Arrogant is gonig to cruise off into the distance again, good race from my fav Bautista though!

probably one of the best and exciting race in the 250's since a long time. lorenzo did a good solid job, although in the beginning I was like
<
WHAT is he doing!!
<
lorenzo is so arogant with his flag 'lorenzo's land'
<
great race to for dovi, he's such a good breaker

I think the 250's were more exciting than the motogp today

As teomolca said, hes seriously hurt:

For those who dont know - he crashed and is in intensive vare (crashed in Practice 2). He was put in an induced coma, and will be out for a few weeks. there were fears that he had brain damage, but he doesn't. He crashed into th tyre wall on the corner approaching the paddock.

He has broke several face bones, including jaw, nose, heeckbone and mandible, punctured his left lung and refractured his left collarbone.

he also dislocated and fractured his left ankle, which may not completely heal. He is currently in intensive care in the Cadiz hospital.
