<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Jul 15 2007, 03:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>There was a chain reaction in turn one, started by DeRosa (i think) who hit Pasini and Pasini knocked Pol Espagaro down. Pasini struggled back out of the gravel but lost way too much time, he gave up a few laps later and pulled into the pits looking completely devastated.

OK, thanks for filling me in.

Pasini isn't lucky at all
<

What place is he in the standings??? Not in the top 6 right??? He definitely should be up higher. Hopefully he'll have some better luck from now on.

No it was really sad today to see him pull in because he had no chance of points and he just looks like he has had enough, poor him. He is currently 9th in the standing, but another big score or two would bring him up to 7th quite easily, after that it will be harder for him to go higher unless his luck gets really good really fast.

They couldn't figure out who'd hit him. I think it was Muresan they were saying.

it definitely wasn't Muresan

It was definitely De Rosa, no doubt about it

jamie i wish i got eurosport! here in the states. we get pretty ...... coverage & i watch all the practice, qualifying & race on motogp.com. so i'm up pretty damn early to catch the european races. the pacific stuff i have to watch well after the races take place... can't stay awake!
<
depending how far east the race is in europe those 125s are sometimes hard to catch. but i was acctually out of town working alot & did'nt get the chance to see the 250s or 125s at sachsenring.

125 Qualifying was excellent as usual and i definitely enjoyed the eastern european battle for pole position. How often does Pesek fall off in qualifying??? I hope Talma can extend his championship lead!!!

250cc looks good for Lorenzo (again) but both of his championship contenders are sharing the front row with him. My fear all ready is that team orders will affect the result. I doubt debon will be allowed to beat Jorge and will be in place to hold up the others, i don't approve of these tactics. I hope i'm just being paranoid but if Lorenzo isn't quick enough he shouldn't win, i hate team orders.

SPOILER!

Absolutely thrilling 125cc race, with 6 guys battling at the top, and 4 guys fighting for the win until the last corner.

1st Faubel
2nd Passini
3rd Pesek
4th Talmacsi

Faubel despite some problem in the first lap managed to catch up with the leaders and beat them one by one and smartly hold onto the lead in the last few corners. Passini had the win in his sights when Gadea crashed from 2nd leaving him 1st with a gap to the rest, but the made a mistake and went a bit wide allowing Faubel to catch up.
Talmacsi who seemed incredibly fast all the weekend couldn't beat Faubel and Passini and to make matters worse for his championship bid, local boy Pesek overtook him in the last corner leaving him 4th.
Faubel regains the championship lead with a 10point advantage over Talmacsi.

250cc.

1st Lorenzo
2nd Dovizioso
3rd Kallio

Quite boring, Lorenzo crushed the opposition once again leading every single lap of the race. Dovi seemed he could be a threat but Lorenzo was just cruising at the time, when he needed to he pulled away.

There were few fights, Kallio vs DeAngelis which ended up with them touching, DeAngelis crashing (rejoined to finish in the points)

Barberá, Bautista and Aoyama fought for 4th pos ending in that order.

Lorenzo extends his lead to 30 points, and they might as well hand him the trophy already.
He didn't celebrate today and had a special helmet as a sign of respect because one of the members of the team passed away recently.

Mega 125cc race for sure. I was disappointed that Talmasci didn't win it but you can't take anything away from Faubel, his racecraft has been the best by a distance this season. Nice to see Pesek get a result for the home crowd.

250cc race was average, but i like to see Lorenzo drilling home the proof that he is far better than evreryone. It was a shame that DeAngelis went down in his clash with Kallio, but these things happen. Mikka is starting to look like the best of the rookies and a real force in the class.

well i could'nt drag my ... outa bed early enough to catch the 125s... figures it was the best race of the day but i'll watch it later. congrats to faubel tho. i still can't get past thinkin were the hell pasini would figure in the championship had he not had such sour luck in the 1st half of the season.
<
the 250 race well was quite the procession with lorenzo crushing his opposition handlely!
<
he'll be a great addition to the big class next season.... JORGE!!! can't help but feel for dovi tho. how would he be doin on a factory aprillia? hope he comes to the 800s as well! kallio startin to look good on the ktm. i think he'll be up there with bautista next season. tough luck for deangelis. thats racin tho!

Exciting finish to the 125 race, 250's Lozzy enough said really, and Bautista finished in a credible 5th from 11th. Nasty crash for Debon.

Like you were saying you have to get up early, I watch all of the races live through the season, I took the day off school once just so I could stay home and watch Philip Island live

125's is the best
<
It has defintely become more exciting than MotoGP because you know Stoner is more than likely to win and 250's, it's likely to be Jorge. Since that stupid tyre rule has been made, watching it has been dull. Sometimes it's good, but it's not as good as years ago when Biaggi and Gibernau battled with Rossi
<

125 race was brilliant as always... I wanted Pasini to win (unluckiest man alive) but credit to Faubel. He was nowhere at the end of the first lap. Pasini could have won almost every race had his bike been more reliable, IMO he's easily the best in the class. Funny watching Pesek go mental after the race
<

250's was pretty boring.. good to see Kallio getting stronger, Dovi's fighting a lost cause now. He seemed happy at the end though, he knows he can't beat Lorenzo with the machinery he has, so a second is as good as a win I guess.

Federico BIAGGI...any relation or coincidence? Has this been asked before? lol
