Your favorite MotoGP battles in the last 15 years

Assen 2015
Rossi and Marquez together for last 3 laps and Marquez not accepting second tries a desperate attempt to take Rossi on the last corner only to clash and send Rossi into the sand but incredibly he rides out of it to win.
Great attempt from Marquez and to this day I believe Rossi tried to block his pass and came off worse.

I think there are many, but the last three laps of Catalunya 2009 between Rossi and Lorenzo are hard to beat, -- two of the best riders on the same bike, hard but clean fight with no undue contacts, many beautiful passes plus an "impossible" one at the last corner, and zero room for polemics and discussions afterwards.

I'm only 28 so mine are fairly recent.

Added either 2013 or 14? Yes Rossi won but I loved the race seeing Jorge come in 5th despite his collarbone. I can't stand the guy but you could tell he was in a lot of pain so I was genuinely happy for him

Assen 2016. Not much of a battle but as a fellow Aussie I enjoyed seeing jack win

Don't know what year bit it was the last race that rained at Mugello.
Simoncelli and Pasini on 250's, dicing in the wet the last 3 laps.

Great recollection - 2009. This is the one that Pasini rode that awful pink colour scheme. Like Aldo Drudi and his garish helmet designs, that colour has no business being anywhere near anything resembling a racing machine...or any motorcycle come to that. I recall Simoncelli ran wide and took both himself and Bautista off the circuit at Savelli. Both recovered and Alvaro in particular rode one of the races of his life to make up the ground - but almost high-sided in the process. Great entertainment.

Yes! One of my favorites. Last four laps - epic. And all the riders on the podium with 106 points at the end of the race. Talk about a great cliff-hanger.

It was fun to watch the Japanese riders in 125s in the late 90s early naughties, there were some genuine characters like Youichi Ui. His interviews were great too, was it him that said something like "my rear tire was ......" in a post race interview? Definitely worth a look.
