But then you get into how much of this is required to finance future development, pay salaries, the electricity bill, the gucci canteen costs and to make sure Prezi has a trick wheelchair. Then you get into how much they want to spend on marketing (market by market) and then my brain leaks out my ear.

Somebody told me once that Ducati's electricity bill is zero. Enel's contribution as sponsor for the MotoGP team is free energy for the factory. Not sure how correct that is, but it fits in with what I have learned about other deals done with Ducati, and the way they manage their sponsorship. The bike might be ...., but the way they do their sponsorship is amazing.
