Good point Skid. An engine spinning at higher speeds will make up for a small flywheel, without the problem of a big flywheel. As long as they keep the revs high. Starts might be a bit slow, because it`s gotta get up to the high revs to begin with.
And no flywheels? Those bikes must have been a handful!

Amazing fun on a hot day but waste of time in the wet, I actually gave up racing the thing in the rain after two highsides on the same day and because I'm a ...... Zero revs to redline and back to zero again in about 2 seconds, with 170bhp at the wheel on the R1, wheeeeeeelie city!

Why not just put it back on for the wet, skid? You could have a comeback! Be the next Troy Bayliss! I`m sure his secter lies in the art of the flywheel
