i was feeling sorry for him during the interview...like, his nose was about to bleed from that deep concentration trying to think of how he would express himself in english, and i almost heard his sigh of relief when he was asked to speak in italian after!

personally i think it makes sense for yamaha to have one on each make of tyre on the fiat team and the tech3 team. not throwing all your eggs into one basket.

remember motogp is prototype racing. its all about learning new things not sticking to what you think you know.

I love this place, riders get slagged off for changing tyre brands. What the .... is that all about? If Rossi, Casey whoever wants to race a Vmax on Avon mudpluggers then it's up to them.

(Disclaimer, I know that Avon mudpluggers have not been available for many years, I know that they were probably never made in sizes that would fit a Vmax, and I am well aware that a Vmax is not a prototype and would not be eligable for GP racing. I am using this generally irrelevant and light hearted geture to make a point.)

Racers are racers, and want to win. If they think another package is what they need to win, then they will go for it. I'm sure that even the mighty Casey, if he thought the Duke and Bridgestone package was falling behind, would look at other bike/tyre combos.

Im wondering if Colin even thinks about winning anymore, or is he making decisions that will best keep him in the sport to pad the nest egg.It was rumored for years that Michelin money and his friendship with Rossi is what kept him in the game.If any of this turns out to be true,it tells me he has resigned himself from ever winning and is perfectly happy as Rossi's lap dog.Not a bad gig though, couple million a year to test tires.Maybe when his riding days are over he can be Rossi's butler or food taster.

I'd test tires for a hooker and a bottle of vicodin

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Colin is a lap dog, but he is probably going to be very very well paid in his last season/s.

Kawasaki were after him, and we know they have no problem throwing money at riders. Tech 3 are probably paying him very handsomely to be Rossi's test donkey again. Who knows, maybe DORNA are throwing money his way as well.

BTW Kawasaki need to run Michelins.
