exactly. I think getting the No.7 will mean an awfull lot to Chris and I think it's good that it's gone to someone who feels like they owe Barry Sheene something. I hope he can do it justice.

you cant really retire #7 i wouldn't have thought. what would happen if a rider finished 7th in the championship and wanted the number, who would have the right to use it, vermy or the person who finished 7th ?

If you're gona do the seven, you gotta do it properly. Barry's #7 means alot to some people, Vermy being one. It's a pure mark of respect and is definately not ready for retirement.
