This is sad I know, but its 10.15 here so must be 11.15 in Valencia. Surely by now someone has been out on track on their new bikes and someone has taken some pictures??!!

I can't wait to see Hayden on a Duke, so if anyone gets any pictures please post them or link me!

No it's not! Testing is probably the most exciting part of the season for the forum...so much analysis goes on.

I don't have times yet, but here's a pic of Vittorio Guareschi on Nicky's new bike.

From what I can tell this is Vittoriano Guareschi on Hayden's GP9 with his own special livery.

A brief google translate from GPone. I'm sure Bikergirl can do it better later.

MotoGP of 2009 is officially started this morning at 10 am the first to fall on the track was the tester Vittoriano Guareschi Ducati, which has made an "installation lap" on GP9 of Stoner, then did make some tour to that of Nicky Hayden, who boasts a livery at Yankee stars and stripes (see photo). The American, who was attacked in the box a sticker with the words "Chapter 2", namely the second chapter, as the first with Honda ended yesterday, available in a box GP8 and a GP9: it is immediately recognizable suffered from the exhaust exiting under the seat, much wider than the previous one, and obviously from the frame in carbon check the hull near the steering.

Sorry best I could find for now.
Never mind phleg already answered.

Thanks for the picture.

Obviously Ducati has developed the carbon chassis and Yamaha is working on advancing the electronics for cornering speed, but does anyone know what Honda is working on in their 09 bike development?

Oh Dear!!!!

Even Marco is adapting fast to the Kwak....
<

The Eurosport guys yesterday did report that Ducati knew withing 30 minutes of Marco riding the Ducati at the Valencia test that he was going to struggle and that they had made a big mistake in hiring Marco.....and that they would be able to know the same about Nicky within 30 minutes of his testing the Ducati today....
<

But I am sure that 1:39 is down to lack of experience on the tyres, bikes, colour scheme, traction control, and track knowledge....

Difference is, Nicky won't throw up his hands and expect a miracle, he will work his ... off to get it working for himself, and I bet his engineers will be keen on helping him.

the testing has a lot of unkknowns, the racing had none!
