Naw man, they would make a proper road course on the infield. Check out the AMA course at the California Speedway in Fontana. They have an AMA race there. I'm thinking they would do the same thing in Indy.

Unless they also have 250 & 125 I just don't see the point of having an extra US race, the country didn't even notice they had a world champ in the sport! Give us an extra UK round instead

I hope they aren't planning on using the same layout as they do for F1, because quite frankly it's nothing more than a mickey mouse track, not worthy of MotoGP. Surely Road America or Miller would be better?

ithink 2 rounds in america would be great, but race 125s and 250s to.
i would like to see south africa back to. but i would not like to see any european rounds dropped tho.

I agree, second uk round...................

I've seen some of those AMA races where the run a course on the infield, some of them have turns marked out with traffic cones which looks a bit sad, is that what would happen at indianapolis? I reckon I'd prefer to see somewhere like Road America. It's a really good thing to have another GP in the US instaed of the obscure Qatar/Turkey rounds. Another in the states would be great for motogp, big help to the sponsorship cause, there's enough American riders to justify it.

I second the idea about using Road America of Miller. The F1 track would be a death trap for MotoGP bikes; fast sweepers with cement walls all around. The Fontana or Daytona "cones marking corners" look would also be tacky. This is GP racing, not the AMA (no disrespect intended), they should be racing at premier motorcycle tracks.

Isn't Road America where Christiana Di Matta while testing hit a deer on the track at some obscene speed and went into a coma?

If so.... possibly not the best place for a MotoGP race..... hows Miller?

Miller would be SICK! Definitly a Grand Prix track! Only wish I lived a hell of a lot closer to it. Where else in Europe would be a good place to have a GP?

US shouldn't have 2 rounds...but Spain shouldn't have 3!

We need South Africa back, Welkom was an awesome track, or back to Suzuka(safety permitting of course).

I totally agree. I've been to Fontana (California Speedway), it's great for NASCAR and Indy Car but not so much for bikes. Seeing the bikes roll around there is like looking at a wet cat, there's just something not right. I just want another GP in the US so I'd want them anywhere including the bumber car track at Disneyland.

But if I had to pick a place, I'd say Miller Sports Track. Road America is great but the trees impede the view. Another cool place is Sears Point (now called Infeneon Raceway), but its just to close to Laguna. I see why they would consider Indy, simply because of the tradition.

If you want to check out the track at Miller, check out the 3D view & track configurations.

Never bin there but from the web site it looks like it is a bit cambered. They also run supermoto there which is always cool.

What's wrong with being gay? It's working for Locks & Roger......

My friend hit a deer at the local canyon. Not fun for the deer.

If we don't get another USGP, then they should go to Brazil....lots of "talent" there holding the umbrellas.
