Poor taste. A Spanish oil company has got no business using the heroism of WWII vets to sell their ethnocentric race ambitions.

It's not an offensive use of the imagery, but Repsol is one of the most ignoble racing sponsors on earth.

I'm a former Marine and it doesn't bother me one bit, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Athletes are always calling themselves warriors and comparing their sports to battle and war.

I agree, im not a marine or anything but my fam. members are/were and i dont think they'd mind at all. Its a clever ad for sure, imitating something so significant and all...people just read into it more than they should and get insulted.

I think its quite ironic seeing the spanish remained neutral during ww2 yet use this image to promote there product. im quite disgusted by it.

And i wasn't in tears jumkie, i had a fly in my eye !
