I thought of this thread when reading this RRX interview. While it may be too spec for training future Moto GP riders, it's a start. The bikes certainly look good. I'd like to have a sport bike that size for the street!

4 strokes are comin`,you can`t hang on to 2 strokes for ever.Get used to it and in a few years time we will all be wishing for one of those `.... off a shovel` 4 stroke singles in GP`s.I`ve seen some `supermono `races at Mallory and it leaves you gasping for more,believe me!!!

We need more support for 250GPs in Britain now and we can't afford to wait for the 4strokes!

I already know that somebody’s building a 450 single racing-spec engine, based on MotoGP technology, without any electronics. A single-cylinder 450 with a cassette-type gearbox—a pure road race engine that’s fuel-injected—is about 80 to 85 horsepower. You put that in a MotoGP frame, and it would be the absolute answer to the issues they’re having with 125s and 250s. It would be almost as fast as a 250, and it would be a lot faster than a 125—and it would have more connectivity to four-stroke racing, whether it’s Superbike or MotoGP. I love 2 strokes BUT it is time to change. they have been saying since 2002 that all classes had to change but they never said to what.
Single 200cc bikes excellent idea, to relace the 125cc class.
I feel that the 250cc class should be replace by 400cc 4 cyl machines and they should make there minds up for 2009 to allow companies to develop the bikes along side the strokers.
Hopefully will bring the 400cc bikes but onto the roads. My old race 1991 FZR400rrsp produced 85BHP (blow up all the time
