I just watched Mugello 2006 again.

WHAT HAVE THESE RULES .......S DONE TO OUR SPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All these posts are crazy !!! Never have I seen such long posts ? WTF?
I am now going to throw in my half pence worth !
Take away all rider aids from the class, and I believe the only people uninjured after the first race would be Rossi, Toseland, Vermulan, Hopper, Hayden. The rest and defo stoner would all be on there arses. Balls to rider aids, producing false champions.

But Rossi has the most Rider aids of everyone ... and he's been using them since he got on a 4 stroke ..... I am just even more stunned after reading that he uses a GPS to pick his engine mapping for each corner!!

are you sure of this?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<div class='quotemain'>Previously, the bike could be set to use whichever map was required in each gear. In 2007, it selected the right map not just for each gear but for each corner. This means the bike 'knew' where it was, just as the Ducati must have done when they tried out their semi-automatic gearbox in 2004.

and do you remember schwantz's report on the yam? the one he said he felt had the least TC?...

Nobody but Rossi and his Mechos know how much assist TC is giving Rossi ..... Shwantz can not tell you this, It is a stupid statement and I believe was a misinterpretation by those that want to believe Rossi is "going commando" with regards electronics aids. ..... like saying how much sail one puts up on a boat ..... its an adjustable quantity that needs to be adjusted to suit the conditions..

Mamola got it right regarding the TC and electronics setup ..... listen to what he said.

Why do people fall into the trap of believing everything some people say??? Rossi is well known for his mind games ..... when he is losing they are just getting more obscure, The claim that Rossi uses minimal electronic aids is just too much. The guy has been at the forfront of the topflight electronics systems available to date. Why do you want t believe otherwise.

Sure some would love to believe he is a god and can ride facing backwards and blindfolded ...... and he is some kind of motogp "Tarzan" who can ride by his natural senses ... hence hates all electronics aids on his bike
<
<

Speculation into just how much TC a rider uses is ridiculous and I believe claims that Rossi is some TC nature boy ..... a farce.

He gains "brownie points" with the fans by saying it ( if he does ) ..... but I wonder if he can be saying a lot of this stuff .... it all sounds too suspect and some of it downright wacko if you think about it technically ...... I wonder, is it all just stuff that is made up by Journos for the hordes of Rossi fans?

Yes! Vindication.

I tried to tell everyone that Rossi used higher TC settings and that Edwards couldn't ride with Rossi's settings.

But seriously, everyone knows Rossi is the king of getting the most out of the mechanics of the beast. I'm sure the super touchy TC is just to keep him from dying. When he outrides the bike, he's going 5-10mph faster than everyone else.

Doesn't matter. I'm just pointing out your contradicting statment.

But it not contradicting ..... if you bother to look firther into it.

Ha Ha Jumkie! Glad to see you are still sore about the "Google Gang" jibes! You know the score, everyones an expert at the touch of a button........it's just that some folks knew what they were talking about in the first place!

It's just one of these things, those of us with encyclopedic knowledge of bike racing just like to be treated with the respect we deserve!

Well, let me look 'firther' into this..

Assume I didn't read any of these articles mentioned (which I have btw). I'm just going by what you wrote here.

You say: Why do people fall into the trap of believing everything 'some' people (I'm assuming you mean Kevin Schwantz) say.

Then you say: Mamola got it right! Believe what he says..

See? Contradicting.

It's all good, not a big deal anyway..peace.
<

D'oh ..... ok ... after his test ride of Rossi's bike ... Mamola said ... of the electronics ...... "its how yamaha gives it to us ( to test ride ) ... so who knows" .... or simillar.

In other words Mamola said " buggered if he knows what its set at """

therefore I certainly believe him
<
<
.... and there is more truth in what he said than most folk seem to want to accept around here.

It's a well known fact that the bikes that are made available to the press on these 'testing days' are not as sharp as they would be under the butts of their usual pilots. I don't bother reading most of the 'reviews' unless written by someone very knowledgeable like Alan Cathcart or ex riders like Mamola or Schwantz. It's almost always hot air and fantasy otherwise. It's not worth getting too fussed about or reading into it for excuses either.

If it wasn't for people like you, Rog, Baldy, Shupe, Liz, and a few others, I would have gone a long time ago. Nah, man I'm not sore, its funny really. But the concept is still there--the idea that if you are "new" to the sport (like the Stoner fans are readily accused of) then you must be stupid. I know you used it before with clever wit and humor, but some really use it for other purposes. Either way, its all good buddy.

A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress. During lucid dreams, it is possible to exert conscious control over the dream characters and environment, as well as to perform otherwise physically impossible feats. Lucid dreams are known to be extremely real and vivid.
