Stoner threatens to leave MotoGP over rules

wrong

the r6 hits its limiter at around 15500rpm

In defense of Chop, Yamaha marketed the bike in 06 as having a 17500 redline. After it became obvious those figures were ........, and complaints started rolling in, Yamaha offered a buy back to unhappy customers before government, and or, class action lawsuits could get started. I remember one of the bike magazines did an comparison of the big 4 after this surfaced and Honda was the only 600 that had a balls on tach reading. Since then, most of the companies only ........ you with HP claims. Most have even gone to marketing curb weights instead of dry weights as those numbers came under scrutiny as well.

There is a rev limit, but it's a secret. Only I know about it, none of you can prove it isn't there.

I'm sorry Krop you give Lex way too much credit, this is what happens when a person without particularly high intelligence gets a lot of knowledge.

Do you realize that Valentino Rossi appeared to say that the sport is rev limited to control top speed? What has this got to do with me? I read the interview over a year ago. I didn't really care b/c a 19,000rpm rev limit doesn't affect the racing. I just casually mentioned it during a conversation with cliche regarding the rev ceiling of 600cc MotoGP bikes.

If you guys would read, and learn more about racing governance and engineering, this wouldn't be such a big deal. A 19,000rpm rev limit is perfectly reasonable. It would reduce the likelihood of excessive top speed, and reduce costs. It fits the MO of sanctioning officials and engineers in every other series on earth. Furthermore, the manufacturers/teams have proven they can run private side agreements in other sports. Means, motive, and opportunity are all present. Doesn't mean a rev limit is present, but it isn't an unreasonable thought.

Unfortunately, people would prefer to 'reason' that I have a unique mental dysfunction. In reality, fans are not comfortable learning how the sausage is made, and they are prone to overreaction. They want to believe that they are eating filet, and that the sausage factory is just an apparition conjured by the intelligencia (have you seen what happens when you tell fans their favorite rider isn't prime cut?). Perfectly normal defensive mechanism, but not an accurate barometer for reality. The sport certainly isn't going to invest any time reversing your misconceptions. Filet is worth a hell of a lot more money.

Dorna are apparently tired of the charade. They think that 1000cc with a rev limit and 24L fuel capacity is a great way to improve the spectacle and attract manufacturers. What could possibly have given them that idea?

Pay up ?? what bet do we have with each other then? From our posts i would say the bet is:-

You bet the CRT bikes will be slower than moto2

My bet is they will be faster.

Now what are we betting?

I will bet you a bottle of 57%vol woods 100 Rum. What similar high priced plonk do you have to match the bet?

VB-beer.jpg

I can get that .... here ! hardly in the same league as woods 100.
<

But its three cans to one bottle!!!!!!!

Ok wtf I cant drink that 57% rum! I'm only tough on the net. I bet this. My satelight prototype vs your best CRT. Most points at season end wins. Who do you choose?

Thats not the point you were making with me. You said moto bikes will be quicker that CRT, hence my offer of a bet.

Wine for rum
<
not unless you have a bottle of 1951.

^^ actually birdman looking at the price of even the most recent vintage i very much doubt you would honor that bet. Especially after trying to fob me off with cheap lager
<

I have bet on this forum in the past and paid upwhen ive lost as have other members. Most dont !

Moto2 bikes already are quicker than CRT, not will be. CRT is supposedly created to replace satelight, not moto2. I choose Crutchlow haha, who do you want?

Im glad you didnt check up on that bottle. I just did and got a bit worried. I normaly drink cheap beer.

"Exceptional Langtons Classification. A profound and complete offer, akin to a mix of the 2002 and 2004 editions. Vintage 2006 is probably more like the 1986 and 1996 than the 1976. It's fabric is meshed with spices, cinnamon and vanillin pod, nutmeg and black pepper, tempered by teppanyaki sauces, almonds and amaretto. Firm throughout and across the palate, reverent tannins and oak convey and propel flavours of slowly roasting lamb avec jus, dark chocolates, cola and maraschino with a lift of menthol and rosemary to finish. EACH

Anyone who thinks the moto2 bikes will remain faster than the CRT bikes is kidding themselves, the Ape on it's 3rd outing has already beaten plenty of well sorted moto2 bikes and the two WSBK BMWs. You guys need to put your money where your mouth is. The CRT bikes are still in development and most of them have only seen the track a handful of times.

They are slower than moto2, not will be. You want a real bet, you pick the riders, one satelight prototype vs one CRT. You can even pick a Ducati for me. You will win for sure!!!!

I only bet when i feel sure to win,not just for the sake of it mate. You made a coment that i jumped on. By your responce to that bet (changing it) i gather you dont like those odds. Thats fair enough. No shame in dropping the losing horse.

Im sure once you tasted Woods you would have been hooked. Man i even got the mexican off the tequela and hooked on Rum

What? Your knocking back the chance to pick RDP on a CRT factory Aprilia to beat Abraham on a factory POS satelight Ducati? You are sure to win. Best CRT vs worst satelight. I like Jim Beam, does Woods taste better than that?

Well thats what i been trying to do Hawk. But once i press for a bet, its like turning on the light and the cockroaches scamper off in haste.

Woods is like milk from Mother Mary's ... my friend. Nectar of the gods. Proven to increase ur IQ by 50-190 points, cures cancer should u hav it, and clears credit card debt. All undisputed and proven facts.
