Stoner says MotoGP is ....

I'm not a fan of M Dunlop, especially when you think of the late Joey Dunlop.
Hard to think they're from the same family.

Joey and Robert were nothing alike either really, Joey was quiet, spoke very little, Robert was louder, jovial and somewhat cocky.

Semi-psycho northern Irish... gotta luv 'em!!

But AntG unfortunately I can't give Michael the passes you give him outta fandom. When your first instinct is to act like a ........ then thinking a nice apology makes it all better every time... He's matured a little but he's still a loose cannon. The truly competitive racers at the TT hardly strike me as, 'insincere people who have that "aw shucks, just happy to be here" demeanour.'

He didn't just .... off the R1 he ...... off the entire team which had been working hard for him to develop the R1 into something. Michael knew all along and especially after the NW200 the the R1 was a work in progress and development. He could have chosen ANY point to switch - he KNEW the bike wasn't going to bring a win long before TT practice week but ultimately his ego wouldn't let him complete the project he signed up for - whaaa, whaa, I've signed a bad contract, my old bike is faster, I wanna be competitive NOW!

You can dismiss and fan-boy up his personality all you like, and there's no doubt he's fast, but as a team principle I would not hire him as part of any 'team'. Michael is Michael and will do his own thing - whether he's committed to something else or not.

Oh I understand from a team principle point of view definitely but that's the thing I've always liked about him, they don't call him the Maverick for nothing, reminds me of Hizzy.

Maybe if someone could shed some light on it for her, she would not have to put it on every thread ? PS It is just a question she obviously wants to see if anyone can help her....jeez

Okay, then private message people. Obviously no one is answering.

Yeah never been there I'm afraid, I think Rockingham is the most south I've been for racing when the superbikes used to race there, I'm sure it will be a blast though, it was good at Donny when they used to hold it there.
