However as authoritative a race rider as valentino rossi himself said that it was not an attempted pass, so we actually don't need any opinions from armchair critics concerning this , and nor do we need any cod psychological speculation about the motives for valentino's over-optimism, justified though this seems to be for armchair critics on the other side of this argument (not meaning you btw) who also apparently have certain knowledge of the danger posed by and to casey stoner in these incidents.

The sad part is the Stoner and Rossi argument is so divisive that it can go on this long. Hayden got dropped out of this argument some time ago.
Casey was rude to someone. People are rude to me most days, I just have a giggle, have a fleeting curiosity as to why they have sand in their ...... and move on. Sometimes I react, but rarely (as I get older my zen is kicking in)
A real issue like the Simoncelli v Pedrosa incident basically died in a mumble and whisper sometime ago. 85 Posts and 5 pages.

Would anybody else like to add their smug tally of how many pages this thread is running...only to proceed and give us another post of their own? It was a fairly telling quip when Bigbang said it,, only to have others recycle it. Funny too as it was the interpretation of Stoner's comments and what he "meant to say" that helped fuel what may have been a short thread. Very rich & smug to then sit back and count the pages wrought, as if they were not central participants in the thread. It was an easy enough discussion, i think Stoner's words & actions spoke for its self. It was the downplaying and glossing over of his words & their merit which sparked debate. Sure its trivial & petty debate, thats what we do around here. Among other things.
