Well, I've always made the distinction between Rossi fans and "boppers'. Honestly, its really two camps: X fans vs X mindless people. Its easy enough to distinguish when incidents happen that are right & wrong in this world. The gray incidents are difficult and people are given a bit of measure on their opinions. Its the interpretation of rather clear incidents that seem to separate the camps. Here we have a case where Stoner says something out of whack. Then you have peeps like Bunny saying, well its just as bad as this other person that said something totally unrelated. Then attempts for several posts to defend his ridiculous comparison. There would be now discussion if peeps would have said, "yeah, that was over the top, shouldn't have done it." and move on. No 14 pages. The 14 pages is because the quote was suddenly up for debate. We all read what he said. WTF is the problem? Its as clear as day. I even gave Bunny an out, and said, well all say stupid things, we should recognize it and learn from it. But no, Bunny wants to continue his gloss routine. Polishing a turd. Then Bunny goes into a post comparing Stoner's frustration to killing dogs? How the hell do I respond to that?!?

Well it was clear enough to me when casey stuck the boot in on checa's bike while on track. Then capi, then being trackside to mock rossi, them punching RDP ect ect ect. These were clear examples of the mans personality and the respect he had for his fellow competitor's. I was consistent in my judgments but ... well that's just use that beautiful word again "Ad Hominem" (thank's Krop). This lack of respect towards Hayden is just another example to me and im not surprised some see no wrong (as usual).

Well we seem to have turned to personal banter as opposed to the thread topic.
I was surprised to read Fizzles post in this thread and i have great respect for him for making it. He is like you a stoner die-hard. He has on many occasions looked for the positive in his fav rider dispite many pointing out his short falls. Surely you have to see stoner is out-of-order again ? What would he have to do to push you over the edge ? Or are you die-hard till the end ??
I agree, Stoner was out of order. I keep saying it and your mob keeps ignoring it.
My dog analogy is just an insight into Caseys thinking about Nicky, and why he reacted in a much worse fashion than you may have expected. None of these riders are "evil people", they are fallable human beings who react in different ways. Casey needs a bit of love, and if I,m the last one, I don,t care.....
Casey doesn't need love. He needs a good hiding. In the real world you just would not get away with treating people like he does and that's a fact !

I don't have any problem with any of the other incidents including the checa one; I don't think stoner's responses as opposed to that which provoked him had any significant safety implications (which the hayden one may not have had either), and rude gestures hardly count in comparison to the serious safety issue which stoner not only clearly believes is involved but actually is involved, and concerning which he claims to have exhausted all other channels which I also believe.
I have a problem with the nicky incident as reported for 2 reasons, firstly because he apparently hazed/blocked nicky; even for a couple of corners this takes it further than a rude gesture and too far. The other issue is because it is nicky, whom as far as I know has always shown respect to stoner and as a former world champion (actually the same number of world championships as stoner as it stands) deserves the same respect as stoner clearly thinks is his due. Also as far as I am aware hayden has not been a serial offender (in stoner's terms rather than anyone else's for those who wrongly don't believe this is a significant safety issue) and in view of their past association is someone stoner could have dealt with by a quiet word in the pits, and someone towards whom even an impolite gesture would have deserved condemnation.
I have no problem at all where rossi and stoner are concerned, even if rossi had 25 world championships, mutual disrespect where from my point of view rossi has at the very least been a major contributor having been ongoing for some years, and incidents where safety has not been merely a theoretical concern having occurred in which stoner has not been the offender. Their contretemps also really annoy talpa and those like him which is a bonus
