Amazing. Once again, if one argument doesn't work, you boys try another, but it becomes obvious that what ever you guys try, comes back to the same thing. Roger, you say you don't like Hayden's professionalism, but then shown a few cases where your beloved has shown to be undeniably unprofessional, then you change the argument to Hayden asking his "teammate" to do (what probably Collin was asked or not asked to do in public), knowing Colin a bit, more than likely understood anyway. Or did you not see the Valencia race?

Pete, you try and chime in about the same thing, and make a comparison to F1 as if the sport is a team sport tug of war where everybody is on the same side, but forget that this is exactly the conduct that your beloved Rossi’s "teammate" showed in Valencia. Or did you not see the Valencia race?

I wonder if you see how ridiculous that sounds. Maybe not since you do actually have the rossie colored glasses.

Colin’s conduct here was professionalism boys. (What seems to irk you boys is that Hayden expected this professionalism from Pedrosa, but it seems he said it in public to a man that in public displayed his unwillingness to be profession, unlike Rossi’s teammate).

(no subliminal messages here, all of it was not tongue and cheek)

Okay I think this topic has already had its fair share or arguments and disagreements so I think it may be a good idea to lock the thread or just get along?

Sure, why don't we just put a disclaimer on this forum: "debate and opinions will not be tolerated."

Alex, don’t take it to heart man, I realize you may not be up for rigorous debate and support of your opinions, but let us have our fun.

Yawn, who didnt see that one coming? I wish I had your brains, and encyclopedic GP knowledge. Obviously I didnt watch the Valencia race, Im a Rossi fan, Ive only been following the sport for 30 odd years I dont actually watch it or know anything about it. I just sit about in my Rossi T shirt.

Dont bother with one of your long "knowledgable unbiased" replies to this, Im not interested.

You were speaking of Hayden I believe...

So Alex, if your gonna dish it you gotta be willing to take it.

There is a saying: "If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks."

Do you understand what that means?

Anyway, don't think Roger, Pete, and I are enemies, we have much more in common than you think. Its after-all a symbiotic relationship.

Yeah yeah I understand mate, I understand...

I was referring to Hayden and the mind games effecting him, he does come across as an emotional person but also quite a sturdy, solid and proper rider so maybe these kind of 'mind games' would not effect him at all. I just think there is a crack in him that says he may be effected by Rossi's words, but it's only my opinion so dish out the "no no No m4n he aint!!!11" if ya like. BRING IT ON.

Now that's the spirit buddy (or as you say, mate). I agree with you about him showing his passionate emotion. That’s his character. Look at Rossi for a moment, now that boy's got personality. And many love him for it. But to say wearing his emotions on his sleeve is a "crack" in his armor is a bit far reaching. I mean, c'mon, imagine if somebody said that about Rossi's personality. Nah, man I think it's just a difference of personalities, and nothing much more. But, you are entitled to your opinion buddy, and if you make a case for it, I have much more respect for you than a simple one liner with no support. Now you see, that wasn't so bad was it?

Yeah right, just like peace in the middle east.

Hey pete, I had been meaning to ask you yesterday. I heard on the radio here that you guys celebrated the US equivalent of "Valentines Day" yesterday. Did I hear that correctly?

If I did, will you be my Valentine?

(and rog too. Hey, Locks hasn't been in the mix lately, is he ok?)

That 'liner' as you put it was a one-off, I normally fill out a few sentences if not a whole bloomin' essay from time to time, a lot like you. Yeah it's good to write loads, unless it's all crap.
<

I suppose in a way Hayden doesn't have a 'crack' as I put it because we haven't seen it effect him yet in any shape or form so i'm not really entitled to say that but I do think it may effect him in some way but then again he may just hide it or he may not feel effected by this in any way. I agree when you say both of their personalities are different - they totally are. Rossi is a live and bubbly person but also acts like a child when he doesn't get his own way whereas Hayden seems to be a lot more serious - especially when riding or just before a race. After each race he's as cool as a cucumber (unless his team-mate has knocked him off).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Jan 26 2007, 04:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I think you will find that the first thing Nicky did was run to his bike an see if it was rideable. Compare this to Rossi in Jerez, after he got up he stood in the track and wasted a few seconds (maybe vital points) waving his arms down the track at Toni before he even thought to get his bike. I think Haydens procedure was much more proffesional.

I also think its unfair to critisize Nicky for his anger after the incident. I think he did very well not to take it out on anyone, nor did he even try to engage Dani. I think most people would be pretty upset at that point considering what was at stake.

We can crap on about this, everybody gets angry, or sad, or motivated, or happy, or so on… (Except maybe Asimo), and more at racing. But the most professional one of them all was Hopkins kicking the crap out of his suzi.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Alex @ Jan 26 2007, 02:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>To be honest I think you're right here Richo. If a rider constantly pushed for the lead/win then more often than not they would fall down into the gravel trap or retire in most races. It's one thing pushing for the win with 7 laps to go from P2 and getting it, but its another thing pushing your hardest from when the lights turn green and when you qualify in say P10, even Rossi wouldn't be able to keep his bike upright or on the track in these circumstances. Rossi is a very smart rider as he knows how long is left in each race and he knows when to push and when not to push. We have seen Rossi retire a few times or make mistakes due to constantly pushing too hard, aswell with other riders.

So maybe Rossi “Not always” goes for the win. But in ’05 at the 13th race he had the Championship with 4 remaining races and ended up wining 2, one second and one third without the need. In ’04 at the 15th race he had the Championship with only one race remaining and he won without the need. In ’03 at the 14th race he had the Championship with only two races remaining and he won both without the need. In ’02 at the 12th race he had the Championship with four races remaining and he won one and 3 second places without the need. In ’01 at the 14th race he had the Championship with only two races remaining and he won both without the need. This sounds like those old LP records all scratched…
