I loved Murray. His enthusiasm was palpable and infectious, and the Murrayisms were when he got carried away and were endearing in any case.
If you have ever heard an interview with him outside of his race calling he is an erudite and accomplished man, as opposed to Nick Harris imo. I think he might have done some bike racing commentary earlier in his career as well.
I always liked at Melbourne 1997 when he called the Prost car a Ligier because it had been one in 1996 till Prost bought the team out.
He was a treat to listen to, got on well with James Hunt before he passed away. That was a great commentating team. Nothing like it these days.
