Silverstone GP: Predictions, Practice & Qual

There is little doubt that Rossi has been psyched out totally and is unable to push the Ducati at all.

Is it the Ducati? No , not completely.

Is it Stoner (Your talent is less than your ambition). No

No, it was , indeed, Jumkie, who did sneak into the pit box, not to sabotage the bikes (not necessary, Ducati already did that), but to leave a note for Valentino. After years of honing his barbed wit on the hapless Talpa, Jumkie composed a letter so devastating , that Valentino has lost the plot completely. He is even starting to look for Karel for a tow. Karel who?? Yes, we dont know who he is either.

What was in the letter..........?

" Vale, you might as well quit because you,ve done nothing, you,re going nowhere..............." No, that was Rampaging Roy Slaven (non-Aussies wont get this)

"Vale, if you win, I will organise a slumber party with Talpa, Esco, Nino, Roger and Evolution, and all of you can wear little yellow raincoats and ride around on little yellow goats , shouting "Vale you,re the GOAT ,you,re the GOAT"

That's what finally broke Vale.....................

<

Vale is a GOAT.....just not the GOAT.

Seriously...........

Tragedy all around regarding Crutchlow. It seems that performing in front of a home crowd can bee too much pressure. Just ask Toseland.

Tech 3 needs a healthy rider.

Lorenzo is doing very well. Either the Yamaha is better than what we think, or JL is pushing the bike to its absolute limit. Spies is close and doing better than Dovi, so perhaps the Yamaha isn,t much worse than the Honda.

Abraham is the next star....................... Maybe not, but a good effort anyway. Should he replace Rossi as Ducati,s development rider?

Bautista is doing ok on the Suzuki. In hindsight the Suzuki was probaly a better project for Rossi and Burgess.

Qualifying results will probably be meaningless as it seems a wet race is likely. Who will suffer in wet conditions? I suspect Jorge may a little.

And a fine Photochop it was!

Get yet butt out to Laguna, I'll buy you a beer.

Deal. I have already paid for my flight and purchased my paddock and roaming grandstand passes. Whattaya got to spend to get

full paddock access? Really looking forward to meeting the gang.

I think Vale & JB are now realising the nuances of the Ducati.

Just when you think you have found something that works at one track, it completely doesn't work at another.

Then you need to spend the whole weekend trying to find a setup again.

The Honda & Yamaha are fast straight out of the truck.

The Ducati is just a different beast. 2011 will be a massive challenge for both Vale & JB.

Already they have changed the chassis & the engine from the initial 2011 challenger.

I think they have made some headway & perhaps we are overreacting to one bad weekend that hasn't even finished yet.

It does show though that Stoner doesn't really get the respect he deserves for the job he did @ Ducati.

Ahhh... the master of understatement.
<
I really do hope them boys nuance themselves something awesome for 2012

- 'cause despite what some of Ambermaniacs believe I don't really hate Vale. If he makes a comeback on the Duc

it'll make the whole season that much more exciting. I've never subscribed to the whole kicking a man when he's down

thing, and Rossi with all his various "failings" is a hell of racer and it would be a shame if his spirit were broken by

a 2nd terrible year.

3 minutes in and i'm allready close to be ignored? I guess if Valentino would be winning something (not happening sorry) these guys would be a lil kinder.

peace.

<
<

Even Jumkie with his drunken 2 page tyrades, stoking the fires of the boppers, goes nowhere near to my prowess ......... ...... see he doesn't yet know the secret is just post the facts in as few words as possible ........ ( we are attempting to communicate with amoeba after all ........ ( Squig, et al 2011 ))

Where are all the time travelers that love to compare performance of last year to determine that Lorenzo cant develop the Yamaha. He is over a second faster than his track record from last year. It didnt get him pole, but the bike is faster. Using this as a barometer, Lorenzo can develop a bike, right.

Real shame about Crutchlow. I reckon Daryl Beattie, who criticised Crutchlow's appointment, has had a rethink. And what's with Beattie and the dismissal of collarbone injuries? He said Crutchlow may get it plated tonight and race, and if I recall he said something similar about Pedro's injury.

Chalk another one up for the 800 safety formula, although I guess collar bone fractures are better than many other injuries, and massive highsides no longer seem to be common.

I guess it could still be coincidence, and clavicles are fairly easy to fracture, but I am struggling to think of a mechaism for collar bone fractures now seemingly being so common compared with in the past.

You can be absolutely guaranteed that Simo has been told in no certain terms, YOU DO NOT TAKE OUT CASEY. If you can pass him on a straight, thats fine, but no bonzai moves on our title hopes. If its wet, just stay the .... away.

First Pov, I got a huge laugh out of this, this is a very funny post.

I'm sitting at home on my computer catching up on work and private stuff and naturally my ability to fall into silly daydreams takes over (It's Sunday and pissing down).

So I'm seeing in my silly daydream Simoncelli in a classroom setting with HRC management and Livio Suppo there acting as interpreter.

They are showing him pictures of bikes and riders and he has to answer yes or no to the "can you take them out" question. Every time they show him Casey or Dovi's picture he gets a rap over the knuckles, a resounding "NO" and threatened with a set of clippers.

Occasionally they put him in a sack with a picture of Dani and flog the sack.

He gets a donut and some shampoo every time he says yes to Lorenzo.

Question:

Will the boppers follow Rossi to WSBK in 2013?

Who would the boppers follow in MotoGP when he leaves?

Yeah I agree that Super Sic will be the one the boppers switch to when Rossi leaves MotoGP.

Stoner is good, no doubt, but he enjoys years of development by other riders that brought the Honda to the level it is in today. Put any rider on the grid on this bike and they will all be within 0,1 second of Stoner pace.

Codos to Vale, to pick up the Ducati at the poor condition where Stoner has left its development.... lots of work to do, and only Rossi can do it.

There are 2 other riders on the grid with the same bike, neither are within the 0.1 second you prophesise

Simoncelli - 0.188 behind

Dovisioso - 1.192 seconds behind

Or are you saying that Stoner's bike is not the same machine as the other factory Honda riders?

Good post Frizzle, I totally agree with you and look what Stoner is doing with the Honda straight out of the box, he’s taken it from being just a Pedro YoYo to a championship favourite contender and it’s only been 5 gp's well 4 one of those didn’t count because of (???) we know who that is! So he’s given these guys a 1 gp start but Stoner + Honda are a formidable force just like Ducati + Stoner were!!!
