Based on the fact that no traction control system from that era was sophisticated enough to keep the rear right side up when one is at 60 degrees lean angle, saving the front and opening the throttle to shift the weight to the rear.
Except those things existed on the RCV211.
Obviously though because of the electronics that's why everyone is able to do it now. I just think of all the times Rossi, Dovi and Lorenzo pick the bike up with their elbow after they lose the front.
