Pretty sure Dani Pedrosa will jump to KTM in 2017.

Rossi staying at Yamaha beyond 2016 is going to be contingent on how he handles 2016 with MM.

If he continues the cockamamie theories about MM and drags Lorenzo's name into it, I believe Jarvis and Furusawa are going to block any efforts to resign him for a further season or two.

Actually I'd amend it to where Lorenzo is probably going to throw down the gauntlet, especially if he delivers another world title, and say the only way I stay is if Rossi is out of this team for good. If he, Furusawa, and Jarvis all stand unified against Rossi, I don't think you will see him ever riding a Yamaha again outside of at Goodwood and like events.

Bigger picture would be --assuming he wins the 2016 title-- that Lorenzo has delivered 4 world championships to Yamaha in a period of 7 years, whereas going into the 2017 season, Rossi hasn't delivered any world titles in 8 years when he won the last of his 4 for Yamaha. Yeah the marketing and all that I get, but eventually it turns into a what have you done for me lately deal. Every dog reaches the end of the road one way or another.

Dani on a KTM would be sweet IF, (and that is big huge IF), the KTM is actually competitive. If it is just another bike circling in 8th, it would suck.

JL isn't going anywhere.

Well if it was circling in 8th, that might actually be good for all we know. But if Honda isn't interested in keeping him around for 2017, and I wouldn't be shocked if that did happen, KTM wouldn't be the worst place to go. Sounds like they are willing to spend to get their bike up to competitive standards, and as I've said in the past, if the Red Bull sponsorship is serious, that will give them a ton of cash.

Every year it's the same thing. Everyone thinks Dani will get the boot. Only way he leaves Honda is kicking and screaming. Repsol love him and Spanish fans adore him. And he's a great parts donkey for Marquez. He's been on the RCV longer than any rider. His feedback must have a fair amount of value to Honda.

Maverick ......s is the hot property. Depending on what happens with Lorenzo or Pedrosa will effect where this kid will end up. Unless Suzuki is suddenly a contender. Then they may get into a bit war, which Suzuki would lose.

Incidentally, this should remind us the elimination of the Spies rule made for the the 2013 champion. No way Marc wins on a satellite.

If Pedrosa goes, which is very likely, then HRC need a top flight rider to keep developing the Honda back to dominance...and I dont see MM as being that development rider....so when the Repsol Honda are thinking of their future they will look to Jorge (development and champion rider) and not Maverick to be their mature input....Also, I think the money that HRC and Ducati are going to put on the table for George will be more than enough to tempt him away from Yamaha...

this all makes sense IF pedrosa leaves,in which case then Viñales will probably take lorenzo's seat. ive read some of your previous post and when it comes to predictions you seem to be right on but what makes you think that Pedrosa is gonna leave HRC,?(cuz it sounds very unlikely to me)

Yamaha and Honda will stay the same. Dovi has to beat Ianonne and finish top 5 to save his seat. If, and I can only hope ,Stoner decides to give it a go, nothing would save Dovi . The only way Vinales moves is if one of the big 4 retires, which I don't see happening. At this point in their careers I still believe Dani the faster of the 2 and Honda can actually get him for less money than what A new hotshot would demand. I think Rins inks with Tech3 with a promise that this is the last contract for Rossi at Yamaha. Honda's long time future isn't as set as it was this time last year. Little Marquez has not done ...., Miller needs to make a huge jump and Fabio lost crucial time in his development. Who knows how he is going to react to a serious injury that has taken along time to recover from.

Not sure if my predictions are right on....but I dont mind having a try....

I think Pedrosa will be offered less than he is on now, and KTM will offer him more....so Dani will choose to leave...

I think you are right Maverick will take the vacant Yamaha seat....

Even for less money - I'd bet Dani would stay at Honda. He wants the glory more than the money. He hasn't suffered all those surgeries just for the sake of paycheck. I reckon, he still believes he has a shot at a championship. I don't think so - but believe he does.

You are probably right....but HRC may encourage him to go as well....2016 in my view is Dani's last shot at the title with Repsol honda.....

We've been saying this every year since 2009. :p
He don't got no shot... he's just MM's wingman.
