Pedrosa is up at the end of 2016. KTM is going to throw a ton of cash at him I think.

Dovizioso will likely be out at Ducati unless he puts together a monster season. Barring that, Casey Stoner to replace him for 2017.

Haha, Casey isn't coming back bro. But you reminded me of an interview I read about 4 years ago where Lin Jarvis admits to wanting to sign Casey Stoner. Ah, the irony. In fact if memory serves me correct, he said something to the effect, no way did they want Rossi back! Like hell no, it's not even an option. But like the headline above, renewing Lorenzo was a priority and signing Stoner would be great. That was 4 years ago, I'm sure secretly, nothing has changed. I bet VR is a nightmare to work with.

I'm paraphrasing, though I'm sure I'm pretty close. Can you imagine?! Hahaha, .... that would be a dream. Rossi being told, thanks for your services 'Doctor', we're hiring an Engineer to replace you. Ah .....

What if I told you that Casey is going to be made a huge offer to ride for 2017? VW/Audi, Phillip Morris/Marlboro money combined might be the most lucrative offer in grand prix history.

Forget VR being a nightmare to work with. Imagine being a mechanic and having that sack of .... Uccio walking around the garage like he owns the place?

I hate to break it to you bro, but Stoner isn't interested in money. I think he was offered 20,000,000 and reduced media inquisitions, and he still didn't take the deal.

Holy Jesus ...., I was almost word for word!

Look away Moto Vuboo, MigsAngel et al.

"Jarvis has already said that keeping Jorge Lorenzo is a key priority for them, with a nod also towards negotiations with Casey Stoner, but Rossi is “not an option.” January 2012!

Dovi needs to step up his game, and he needs to do it soon... Ducati have a top machine now and there is no excuse for Dovi to be outside the top 10. I think if he does not improve there is a good chance that he gets cut mid season. In which case I would not expect Stoner to step in.

Lin Jarvis: "Valentino Rossi back in Yamaha is not an option"

That quote isn't surprising to me. At the time Jarvis made that quote, Rossi was struggling on the Duc and Stoner had just won the Championship. Makes sense they'd be more interested in getting Stoner than bringing Rossi back. Rossi moved to Ducati too soon, I think he would of had much more success if he made the switch after Gigi arrived.

Don't kid yourself. It didn't have anything to do with Rossi’s epic failure to perform at Ducati. It had all to do with the toxic environment he brings to a team, especially sharing a garage with Lorenzo. That same year, 2012, Furusawa said Rossi is hard to deal with and confirmed the racing team didn't want Rossi back, but instead the marketing department force fed them a return of The Doctored. Thanks of course to Carmelo Clause.

Nobody at Yamaha was claiming Rossi was too difficult to work with when he took them from pretenders to contenders starting in 2004. At the end of the day, business between Rossi and Yamaha has been mutually beneficial.

To be fair, I think Jorge screwed the pooch himself to an extent after this by dallying with other teams. I think Yamaha made a decision in 2010 that he was their future and to back him whether or not it pleased Rossi, which must have been a difficult one, then Jorge (of whom I am a fan obviously) showed less than undying loyalty towards them from their point of view.

The whole "development rider" thing is exaggerated imo, as the Rossi/Ducati adventure demonstrated, but I think it is entirely possible that VR has an edge over Jorge in this area whatever its importance may be, in regard to Yamahas anyway.

Let's not forget both Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith are on the hot seat.

Both could wind up getting sacked at Tech 3.

Cal Crutchlow's deal with LCR I believe runs till the end of this year. I'm expecting him to jump back to Tech 3 for 2017.

Depending on what Danilo Petrucci does at Pramac, we could see him jump to Ducati to replace Dovizioso. Only question that leaves me is whether he and Iannone can both develop the Desmosedici effectively.

Vinales was said to be eyed by both Honda and Ducati, but I see Honda more likely of the two...however I don't know about pairing him with Marquez.

I think, I am the only one who think Casey is the only man who could purrify toxic climate around motogp paddock these days.

I see Petrucci replacing Dovi next season and keeping the all Italian team going. He is capable, likable, fast, good in the rain. Only downside is that he is big.
Redding should do well at Pramac this year as well, I don't see Pol on the factory Yamaha, and I rate his brother as a better rider (with a way hotter girlfriend).
As nice as it would be for Casey to ride full time, I don't see it just yet. It's also interesting to see what Rossi does.

Then they got someone faster and much easier to deal with . You put up with that .... when it's your only option to win. You don't when it's not.

I don't see Yamaha showing Rossi the door. In fact, I think Rossi will be allowed to stay there even if he's circulating in 6th. He's too valuable financially. So long as Yamaha have a title contender in the paddock (Lorenzo) they'll let Rossi do his thing in the space next door. In fact, the better Lorenzo does, the less Yamaha will feel the need to replace Rossi.

Therefore, Rossi needs Lorenzo. See what I did there?

And Valentino was doing well in the championship last year until he threw all his toys out the pram... lol

“It's a great pleasure [to be at the top] and is my target because like in 2014, the test and the first part of the season will be important for me to understand if I have enough potential to continue [racing],” he said.

“So it's good to be second here and at the top because I am happy and I want to continue, but I continue just if I am able to fight for the important positions."

Translation: I'm gonna quit if something isn't done to help me remain artificially at the top. You hear that Carmelo? You hear that Michelin? You hear that Yamaha?

Not sure Yamaha will have a choice. If he's top 4; Yamaha will be made an offer they can't refuse...again.
