Silly Season 2012

How many updates did he get last year? They threw parts at the bike like they never had before.

Must have cost them an arm & a leg. Where did it get them? May as well just go their separate ways now. It hasn't worked.
With the same frontend issues as the Valencia 2010 test they obviously haven't thrown the right parts at it. The constant phrase is "there has been no clear plan" & seems that Prezioso has been so keen to stick to his philosophies that he has held them back. Still appears to be.

Those philosophies didn't work for Stoner either, if they are not taking rider wishes (not Rossi specific) into account it only reflects better on Stoner & his time there. They didn't listen to him either.

That wasnt what you guys were telling us back then though was it.......the mantra was it was all Stoners fault and his development skills are/were ...........

The tune has all of a sudden now changed to its all Preziosis fault.....funny about that.

Granted they haven't fixed the problems but it hasn't been for not trying. They shut down their superbike team to funnel all the funds to get their motogp team to the front with Vale on it remember.

Honda have a massive budget yet haven't fixed the chatter issues that have plagued them since winter testing either. Stoner reported that the new chassis was no better than the old one & chose to use the old one.

Pedrosa chose to use the new one but was beaten by both Stoner & Lorenzo. In 2007 Preziosi was considered a genius. Now he is looked at as a dill.

Ducati were on a hiding to nothing & it's time to reload with someone else.

Hey at least people are learning. There is no doubt that stoner did a great job at Ducati and no one else has been able to match him. It was suited to stoner's style though, something no one has been able to replicate. Doesn't mean that everyone else is therefore also uncompetitive on a bike they are comfortable with.

While it is in essence "opinion" - the most widely accepted held conviction by reasonable minded people is that it was Stoner's uncanny ability to ride around the deficiencies of the Ducati - rather than any compatibility with it. Moreover is it was widely speculated by knowledgeable people in the press that the strain of riding around the Ducati's idiosyncrasies was a major factor contributing to his chronic fatigue syndrome issues in subsequent seasons. While Stoner has never fit the mold of the typical rider - he's not so freakishly different that he can be said to have seamlessly gelled with the bike that drove all other riders insane with it's understeering and sometimes violent power delivery.

Just as well because you would be wasting your time.

People that grew up with Spies at the race track, get very defensive when Mary is mentioned in a bad light, such as being a helicopter mom. They will tell you that yes, she is Bens mother, BUT, she is one hell of a manager, and that damn near everything you hear about her is not true. I have no ....... idea what she is trying to say in that Facebook post, but im sure she has an opinion about the status of the racing world as we all do.

Well let me put it this way, if my mother had criticised the respective careers of Mick Doohan & Rossi that way I would give her a slap.
