HA HAHa you ...... hater. Japan wouldn't have the superbike if it wasn't for America. Go ahead and look up the superbikers. I think it was on 2q1abc sports in the late 70's early 80's. Wsbk came later.

There is a continent called North America and two countries in it one called Canada and the other The United States of America...but sorry, no country called America. I ain't lost don't worry about it.

There is a whole bunch of other countries too, my Canucki friend.

Central America is part of North America. That includes Belize, Panama, Nicaragua, Costa Rice, etc. You have the Caribbean Islands. Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Turks and Caicos, Aruba, and my favorite, Jamaica.
 
I tried moving to/getting a job in North America a couple of years ago, but because I was young and inexperienced the <strike>gits</strike> INS wouldnt let me it. I've always fancied it though...
 
Mexico, Canada etc. ain't "part" of The United States Of America. They're just the next door neighbors.

Nobody claimed that. It was just said these contries (US, Canada, Mexico) are all in North America. So they all have a right to call themselves North Americans...

I am putting in my final ending to this sad, sad story that is this thread. My final answer is a resounding YES.... YES..... YES!!!!! Yes they should sack Hayden...... after he's won at least 2 world titles, and he's had enough of the total sham that is now motoGP. That sham... the sham perpetrated upon us by Dorna, and whoever runs Dorna, and by that sham company called honda.

A question of pedantic semantics perhaps. But I don't think anyone from the USA would
agree with you. There is only one America. South America is merely
a region. None of the countries encompassed could be said to be
"in" America. They may be loosely referred to as "the Americas"
in old geography texts - but they are merely adjacent to America.
And in 56 years I've never heard any of my Canadian friends
refer to themselves as anything other than Canadians.

I know... But I do not think they ever had any intention of denying the 'american' status to others. I think it is simply due to the fact that USA is an acronym, not a name, so the citizens of the USA began to refer to themselves generically as 'Americans'--because "citizens of the United States of America" would have been definitely too long, and USAian simply doesn't work
