Rossi's Win Celebration.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Electric Mofo @ Mar 30 2007, 01:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>The celebration left me with a funny feeling, the same feeling I get when I've been forced to sit down and watch the opera winfery show with my mom.

I just dont see how any body can complain about NH when Rossi's parading around like Ronald Mcdonald and the Hambergler. Alot of times Rossi takes .... too far, like at Malaysia when the poor pedrobot, injured with a giant hole in his knee, struggling to even stand up and is so much agony! So what does the good natured Rossi do? pulls a friggin chair out and sits on it with his playtime muppet. If thats not un-sporting I dont know what is and If I were Dani, I would of drop kicked the two all the way down to the parc ferme.

Yes its all amusing and good natured most of the time but there's a level of professionalism that needs to be maintained by the riders/Rossi.

There can be different sides to the story Electric Mofo… In the one you mention for example, I don’t get it… Pedrosa rode for an hour or so to the most of his ability there, but also means that he had to use muscles and nerves; Knee (including the injured one), legs, arms, etc. on a strong level during that time too… Have you ever been on a bike race? I mean the adrenaline rush last for a couple of hours afterwards… So coming back to the topic: How come Pedrosa held the pain for an hour or so and could not even get down from the bike or walk to the stands? I guess painkillers are effective, but did doctors new accurately how many minutes Pedrosa’s race would last?

Im not quite sure of the point your trying to make there. And yes, I have been on a race bike and sometimes the adranaline is sometimes enough to block out some pain. But not when there is a whole the size of a table spoon on the top part of your shin. What Rossi did on that day was possibly the most un-curtious, rudest thing Ive ever seen in a post race event and If it had been anyone else, they'd of been disaplined.
And to the question of wether Pedrosa was in pain or not ( assuming thats the point you trying to make ) Its simple, Pedrosa's so tiny that he has problems getting of the bike anyway, add that hole in knee injury and you'll find that getting off the bike would of become a ...... And I dont agree that adrenaline last for a few hours, it actually last for about 20 minutes after a race and once its cooled down, you begin to feel the pain. Doctors may not have knowledge to know the exact amount of minutes medication may last but they have a rough idea. For example, when your in surgery and put to sleep, the doctors know roughly how long the medication will last before it wears off. Because if they did'nt, you'd wake up during mid-surgery and probably die. And when you visit the dentist and have novacain ( forgive me if Im wrong ) injected into your gums, the dentist knows how long it will roughly last.
So to the point of your argument, yes the doctors would of known how long the medication would of lasted.

Yes, let's make it like F1. Fines for burnouts, more rules, more fun. While we're at it, why not get a rule that forbids passing other riders on the track. Passing are only allowed in the depot. That would make it even mor fun to watch.

i seem to remember hearing once that they do get fined for some of the stunts but the fine money goes to riders for health, not sure where i heard it from or whether theres any truth in it.

i found it well.... a bit silly really. but then i like my humor more edgy. carlos mencia or george carlin or cheech & chong or monty python. now these guy's make me laugh.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Racejumkie @ Mar 30 2007, 01:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Oh funny yes. Somebody should sign up that last ping that wobbled then went down for an Academy Award. Sure it was hilarious, but also tacky.

Its just rubs me the wrong way I guess. I think its disrespecting the competition. Sure its gonna be popular to his fans. I use to like boxing before. Never was a fan of the showboats. I couldn't stand to see Sugar Ray Leonard show boat, when he beat his opponents you might have thought he found a cure for cancer the way he would go about, but when Marvin Haggler beat him, all he did was raise his hand in victory. Now that's class. This is one reason why I like baseball, you try to showboat there or show up the opposition; and you can expect a ball to hit you dead square the next time you're at bat. Keeps things classy.

DONT BE A .....! Come on it's just because it's Rossi, if one of your american "heroes" would have done that you wouldnt say a word

Not much of a point I guess, just that recalling the great riders in history, instead of complaining about being hurt or pain they would just go out and still ride hard like hell. So if Dani achieved that kid of hardness during the race and stock with it, cause he did, I did not like the 'kind of limping' afterwards… Not much of a point like I said…

If one of this so called "american heroes" attempted something as rediculous, you'd of hired the hit on him.
