whay he wants that now when they have same tires? some fear exist or what... if pedrosa came with this idea i bet bashfest on him would started long time ago...

Didn't you hear the latest rumours? Puig is now Jorge's manager and it was his idea. This is a media spin to make it look like Rossi wanted it.

Sorry, but I can't "find" the link for the "Puig Jorge Rossi" story

Editted for "accuracy"!!

Well thats not very sporting of Valentino... you would think he could share his knowledge with the young kid but then again he is quick enough already
<

Well if it was me i would want the wall to stay also, its a everyman for himself fight in motogp even if your on the same team.....why would rossi want to share progress he's made on the stones??? IMO it would make lorenzo a better racer for the future, working with the engineers trying to find a solution for raceday instead of just using setup data that another rider and engineers have put together.... lorenzo is new to the stones and i just think he will be better off with engineers finding his own solution for his machine setup

I guess Lorenzo should have thought twice before he started saying he can beat Rossi...Now look at him.

By the way..isn't there a rule about noobs posting provocative threads? especially .... noobs that are really someone else.

All I can think is that if Lorenzo is faster next year with the divide (based on this year's evidence it could well happen!), Vale will probably be tearing that wall down at lighting speed.

It might be one of those walls that only allows things to pass through one way just like the HRC wall. Ya it is competition but all setup data should be available to the whole team. If the rider makes the difference then why is it a problem?

Because with today's electronics the rider don't make the difference anymore

Did anyone actually check the "link" More total ......... This is nothing but a link to an ad for Moto GP magazine. Provide a real link or get back under a bridge where you belong.

I really hope Jorge LorenTHO kicks Valentino's butt just to keep him humble. I'm sure Valentino is a bit intimidated by Jorge because he knows Jorge is a future champ. LorenTHO just needs to get back to how he was racing in the 250's, if he gets his confidence back Rossi is in big trouble.... let's see how Rossi handles the pressure next year on same bike/tires.

Lorenzo highsided despite TC and broke a lot of stuff. He'll have to overcome that to beat Rossi. From what I saw at the start of the year he is supremely talented.

Now that Nakano is gone don't you think you should change your name?

That is a self contradiction. Setup data are the result of the riders (and teams) effort. The rider makes a difference just as much in the pit as on the track.

You think he needs to be asked to change his name? Without prodding he
changes it - every couple weeks or so.

You act like he died or something. Hes going to WSBK. The series that will be more watched than MOTOGP. Although he is going to be a midpacker as usual

We'll see in a few weeks if the wall is there in Jerez.I don't know if Rossi had any use of Edwards data in 2007,but i think he did.Even if they had totally different set ups of what i have heard.I think Colin said they knew how to translate the data to be benefitial to both riders. So if Valentino really wants a wall there it must be because he thinks Lorenzo can beat him. They don't seem to be as friendly as Rossi/Edwards anyway but maybe Rossi just puts all the trust into Burgess. He won this year doing it.
I think if Rossi has a wall there all season he shows he will do anything to win.Thinking of every possible thing to get an edge.Which ofcourse isn't a bad thing, every rider wants that i would guess but not every rider gets it it seems.
By the way,i think the interview with Burgess on page 56 is kind of interresting. But then again,i think everything he says is interresting.

Stoner will still be the biggest threat for Rossi in 2009.
Lorenzo had access to all of Rossi's Yamaha-Michelin 2007 data this year, and he was trying to emulate Rossi's braking points and corner exit speeds at every track, and he crashed no ends despite being on a much better Yamaha and better Michelins than the 2007 models.
Better he sticks to his own parameters in 2009, for his own protection

2009 is going to be Rossi-Stoner again, with Lorenzo and Dovizioso fighting for the third podium position in a re-enactement of their old 250 battles...
<

Pedrosa could fade away, feeling the atmosphere between Lorenzo and Dovi too hot for him. Leave alone the white heat Stoner and Rossi are going to produce...
