The three races he missed were on august 16th, august 30th and september 6th, a span of 21 days by my reckoning, or 42 if you date it back to the british gp, the last race he competed. His state of health during the summer break is a matter of conjecture for all of us , admittedly including ducati which was a problem at the time.

Conjecture? John Hopkins use to put on youtube a video of his gruesome injuries and a diary with a play by play of his recovery. That is easier done with injury were you can see scars, blood, stitches, ect. Other than a man's word, how do you prove you are ill? Maybe Stoner should have put a sling on and appeared on some ridiculously corny TV show, eh?

Berrys just pissed jb didn't go back to honda with stoner like he predicted

I hear you. I don't really have a solid comprehension of Rossi's shoulder injury. But I don't think it was dislocated.

That's something I do have experience with. I managed to get an A/B separation of my left shoulder back in

'79 and it was excruciating. I wasn't a highly trained athlete nor was I in good shape - and yet 5 weeks later

I went white water canoeing on the Delaware. My shoulder never pops out because it was so badly damaged

the doctors couldn't put it back to the normal position. It looks like hell but works okay.

Matches ya face then kesh

Well i hope he spared the viewers the injury where a footpeg went up his ....... resulting in 6 stitches

No not really. The Haydenettes just latched onto the stoner bandwagon for 2 reasons.

1. The haydenettes had nothing of their own to sing about

2. they were united in there rossi fan bashing

From what ive read it was the haydenettes (not all) that were in denile about rossi's injury and its effects. I don't recall any stoner fans claiming rossi's shoulder was a "bargaining chip" but then again i dont tend to read all there posts
<

Those 2 points are a bitter reality at least about a few, nice said.

No, he should have posted pics of his urine & stool samples for us to give our opinions on.

Or maybe some people talk enough .... as it is?

Lactose intolerance is not a particular interest, or indeed a concern of mine at all; I have regretfully had to cut my cappuccino consumption in my old age due to decreased tolerance of caffeine rather than lactose
<
. I will usually respond when asked or particularly when challenged as you are aware ; if you have a problem point out where I have been wrong. I was initially sceptical about the lactose intolerance thing with stoner to be honest, but it does seem to all hang together reasonably to me now fwiw.

I am keen on 2007 as I am on 1987, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998, although these are ancient history even for me. I am less keen on 1992, 1993, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

As a wild conjecture, I would surmise that you yourself are keener on 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009 than you are on 2006, 2007 or 2010.

Problem with most Cap's is-there's more lactose than Caffeine! Your not jumping onto the Soy decaf slim latte bandwagon are you mick??
<

Close, but no cigar.......very keen on 2006- one of the best ever. As I've stated many times.....

Also very keen on 1992-93-94-95-96-97-98-and actually 2000 was quite good also. 86 had its moments and of course PI 1990 certainly deserves a mention back in those years.

Am I !!?? oh darn I didn't even know!

Must be like Stoners Lactose intolerance, I'll have to wait for it to "kick in" then, thanks for the heads up

Typical Reg., I'm all happy about the anticipation for next season ...... and Reg. reads it as being pissed off

What do I have tobe pissed off about Reg. ?

Anybody who still feels the need to debate Casey's illness needs to pay more attention. Stoner's illness was considerably more evident than Rossi's was this year. It was as evident as Lorenzo's broken ankles

Remember that Burgess is on record at the time of Jerez saying that Rossi's shoulder condition showed in the telemetry. His riding was affected in a concrete way. Rossi always dismissed it because otherwise he would have been seen as looking for excuses, but Burgess kept returning on that point.

Yes i remember it well, Rossi said he felt ok but JB said Rossi was't riding in his usual way.

Not keen on 1992 or 1993 because of doohan's and rainey's respective injuries; I had no problem with who won those years, see my list of favourite riders. I liked 2000 as well due to gary mccoy, another of my favourite riders, in addition to a young valentino rossi showing up alex criville whom I did not like; I am not hypocritical enough to criticise valentino for wanting to be a number 1 rider as a mick doohan fan who had no problem with mick's attitude to alex. I see close parallels to valentino and jorge, although mick's injury in 1999 ended his career and jorge looks more talented than his compatriot and may prove to have development ability.

It now seems that Rossi´s shoulder op did not go perfectly. He says his Dr. told him the tendon is "out of place." This is unfortunate.

Dennis Noyes.

Haters/Boppers have got there Rossi performance 2011 sorted there ^ before a wheel turns

Maybe he went pig wrestling a little to early.

It is certainly going to be entertaining to see who falls on the sword for this years performance. As of now, we have 3 verified excuses. The shoulder, the bike, the gear box.

update

the biceps tendon out of place...has not resumed correct length, I am told.

so we are talking what problems apart from pain etc

Stiffness

Swelling

Tendinitis

Upper Arm Elbow movement

any low/high side easy Shoulder dislocation

Its too bad he's the only rider with a not so perfect prior injury. Tell that to Stoner (wrist), Nicky (arm), Aoyama (back) Randy (leg) Alvaro, Dani, Lorenzo,...get the picture?

im interested in this Injury its hanging round like a bad smell

i want all the guys fit and healthy at the pointy end of the field.you get a Injury man up and get on with it as per ^^

i said somewhere before i got a feeling this INJURY Has A Hodgson/Fogarty wrote all over it

it i'll be a shame if this injury takes 10% of Rossi's ability he's done for

really? I guess the best medical attention money can buy isn't perfect.

Joint/ligament/tendon injuries are chancy things though as we have discussed all along, and may not have a 100% outcome however perfect the medical care. It is rumoured (?by kropotkin) that he is unhappy with Dr Costa's initial assessment and advice though.
