Is that working?
I would be astounded if he made the podium this year, or ever again at this level. He's had a remarkable career. It gives me no pleasure in saying this, but I feel the longer he stays, the more inglorious will be his departure.
I am giving him till Le Mans to see how he copes, now he is using Hayden's setup.
They have a test day at Estoril on Monday following the race - that's when we are likely to see i cement the big changes to his performance - or not.
If he can get the thing to not eat tyres and he can get it to not push wide in corners, Le Mans may very well be a podium chance. The two 'tricky' circuits will be over - lets see how he copes with the first-gear corners and hard accelerating straights in France... he will need to have that back-end traction dialed!
