Repsol threatens to quit MotoGP over "premeditated" Rossi "kick"

Sorry, I don't speak Esperanto, I'm Scottish. I'm pretty sure Karatekick is a small town famous for it's Cossack warriors though.

Welcome to the forum, can I suggest Google translate? Will make it easier for you as well as the rest of us Boris.

Ciao!

I would assume it's just a tactic from Honda to make sure Dorna doesn't give into any pressure to remove Rossi's penalty due to him threatening not to race at Valenica. It's all BS, but extremely childish on both sides. The Pope needs to get involved. :D

Stop trolling! Honda would have left Motogp long ago if not for the association they have with Repsol. Honda don't need Motogp or Dorna. If Respol leaves, Honda leaves. Last time Honda turn their back on a series, the series went dead. Ask DMG!

Point was you saying Rossi would have been happy to be fined $5000 isn't what was being discussed.

I replied to GoatBoy that Casey was punished for the punch at Le Mans as he should have been, which is something VR got to skate by on numerous occasions.

Yeah Rossi would have been happy, but different situation at Sepang than Le Mans. He reaped what he sowed.

Rossi punched Biaggi as well didn't he, got nowt for that either.

I think that this is some sort of payback to VR over something that the knives are coming out.

Since there are those of us who have been well aware for a long time of VR's dark side on the circuit, none of this has been any real surprise that he would lash out the way he did in Sepang from Thursday thru Sunday.

It's even less of a surprise to those who are inside MotoGP.

My guess is he has done things that never made it out from behind closed doors, but there are long enough memories involved where it was never forgotten. This may be less about Sepang --yes it's being cited as the main issue-- and more about a whole bunch of past deeds.

This is what the boppers don't understand. The one's who started to watch some 10 years now. rossi is as dirty as a hooker! His dirty track habits are well known within the paddock. But kept under the wraps due to marketing name.

I have been watching since the days of the Transatlantics. First went to Donny in 1987. I followed Schwantz, Doohan, then Rossi from his 125 debut. Yellow did not infect circuits in Northern Europe until 2001 IIRC.

Rossi is not dirty as a rule and to make a statement that implies that is disengenuous.

He is also not snowy white - Jerez 2005, Laguna 2008, Motegi 2010, Jerez 2011, but taken in context of a rider who has made 329 race starts over the three classes.

There have been dirty riders and dangerous riders over the years, Rossi is most definitely not the worst by any stretch, in the short timespan I've been watching. Marketing cannot hide reality to those who are at least vaguely objective.

For anyone that is still foggy as to what a "kick" looks like. Please review the race footage and produce a similar frame. This debate has gone dumb.

This is ........, did they threaten to pull out after Doohan and Criville trying to kill each other? When Dani took out Nicky? When Marquez misread his pit board as Kill The Lot when it actually said "Willarot"? or when he banjo'd Dani or Jorge into next week? I could go on. Repsol Honda call the shots, they will support their own riders regardless of how dangerous they ride, but cry when the Golden Boy is on the receiving end.

Didn't they start crying when a certain non Spanish rider with big hair, sponsored by a snack company bounced Dani off? But when Wee ........ does it, he is a national hero.

Bully boy tactics, we will go away with our millions if anyone roughs up the chosen one.

Conspiracies to get Rossi the title? My arse, know the real enemy.

Spot on!

I mean, I understand Repsol is upset because their championship was taken from them in Sepang... oh wait...

Edit: Jorge Lorenzo 2015 Motogp World Champion

Wow, wasn't Rossi supposed to be the one who used the "I QUIT" kind of blackmail? This is funny, also because this can really sound threatening ony to... Honda. Hmmm.
