Red Bull Grand Prix of the America

Yeah that was a pathetic turnout alright,it's a shame Crutchlow wasn't there to have a go at them again, did you see how many of them turned out for the debriefs after Argentina to see if they could get a few whiny words from the great one?, I bet you if Rossi had won that race the room would have been packed to overflowing,"So Vale, after what Marquez did to you in Argentina how does it feel to beat him here in Austin?"...bunch of gutless ......s..
I think you may have missed my point about expressing indignation. It's all good.

Anyway, this quote by Marc is a FU to Rossi and his minions, some of which are disguised as "journalists" and paddock principals.

"Of course, this weekend I feel extra pressure and another motivation, but the motivation is related about I like to speak on the track. There is a way. So for that reason I tried to open a big gap today. That’s it.

“When I feel extra pressure I like it and I feel more comfortable."

Continue booing ......., it's like giving Marc a Red Bull before a fight.

I like how this entire weekend was about Marquez vs Vinales vs Iannone in terms of on track performance, but on the forum it is still Marquez vs Rossi.

I thought you people wanted to discuss actual racing? Or was I mistaken?

I think people are still enjoying giving you back your ..... Why else would people be talking about rossi? He's like 7th in the standings .... he's not even a contender!

The weekend wasn't about Marquez vs anyone. After half race distance could they even see him up ahead?

When Marc started his parc ferme interview, you could hear the boos. Marc acknowledged: "It's quite noisy, but it's funny. Don't worry."

Anyhoooo ....... serious question ......

Anyone know what happened with uccio? Was he banned from Yamaha?

He was there doing his usual manservant bit...probably just keeping his head down so some crazy Spaniard doesn't assasinate him..

He'll never be a contender again, finished washed up bitter tosser who can only sell colourful merchandise to the sheep, might win the odd race but never a world title again,i can't wait until the .... retires and all the booing fuckwits .... off and follow Bieber again.

It happens every year. The new year changes and youve made your new years resolution to love rossi more, then get on here full of bluster and bravado in the off season whilst theres nothing to show you that your ........ and other rider hate is not really justifiable.
Then as the seasons disappointments unfold, you boppers drop off .... and prepare to change your name and start all over again next year. ;)

The commentators mentioned the Safety commission meeting was heated. Are there any reports about what was said? I'm sure this also fueled Marc's "extra motivation".

How far behind Zarco did the factory Yamahas finish?
Asking for a friend...
Quite a bit but not surprising really with such a long awaited return to form for Yamaha's number 1 rider.
So far ahead of any other Yam it looked like he was on a completely different package to the others.
Good to see.

Unofficial reports say some riders were not shy to give Marquez a piece of their mind.

Don’t take my word for it though, but I am sure everyone would if the same was done to Rossi instead.

Unofficial reports say some riders were not shy to give Marquez a piece of their mind.

Rumours are that it was not just MM who copped a serve but also Rossi as well with a huge focus was on Petrucci who many consider far more dangerous than Marquez with some angst also directed in Zarco's direction (said to be from 2 sources).

Additionally, it is said that a number of riders asked for consistent penalties and notification of breaches.

Others said to have copped a bit of heat were Race Direction and some feeder class riders were also mentioned.

None confirmed, just seeing reports from around circles

Was it Cal who answered one of the social media questions that Petrucci was a Bull because when he hits you, you’ll notice?

I don't know about you chaps but I felt there was a slightly more 'tentative' feel to the race?
Maybe it was the drawn out nature of the race or the commentary reference to penalties or maybe I just imagined it, but did anyone else get that vibe?

Terrible race, boring as ...., good ride by Marquez though, then again after watching the world supersport race a few hours earlier, a wheel to wheel battle for 20 laps would have been dull in comparison.

No, I just got the feeling it was a .... race at a .... circuit.
Not detracting from a brilliant ride by Marquez before anyone gets on my case.
The US gp should go back to Laguna.
A track with character.

Apart from 2008 Laguna is a "follow the leader" track.

I reckon you're right, mate. For me the highlight was Iannone getting it massively out of shape coming over the hill. But that's about it. There has to be a US round, but this isn't the best track for it.
Some tracks just produce better racing than others I suppose, (PI for example),
I don't know if it's been done before, but a thread entitled 'which circuits do you wish were on the GP Calendar' could be quite good.
I love Monza, GP bikes coming around the Parabolica would be a thing to behold.
I know it would never happen because it's road track, but I love Mount Panorama too and it would be amazing to see bikes on it.
