Red Bull Grand Prix of the America

Dovi now leading the WC by 1 point.

Although in reality Miller should be +25 and Marquez +20.

But meh Euro now. I expect Marquez Dovi and Zarco to shine.

Kracpotkin aka rossimatters.cum has this as one of his headline: 2018 Austin MotoGP Race Result: A Clean Job, As Per Request

He couldn't possibly be more disappointed.
MotoGP.com reeks of loathing and depression. If it were alive, you would have to euthanize it.

This track really is boring as hell- in f1 and motogp.

Also I’ve been defending Lorenzo for so long saying that he eventually was going to get the hang of the Ducati and I think I’m done. Clearly he can not ride the Ducati. Yeah he had 3 podiums last year but they’re few and far between. Dude gets decimated by his teammate that is paid 6x less than him almost every weekend and he has pretty much nowhere to go

Maybe he’ll try motoE

This has been my point for ages, wouldn't you be pissed off if your team mate got paid multiple times what you're getting for being .... on the same bike,Lorenzo's even getting passed by the GP17's now,Ducati should have a money back clause in his salary for all the farting around he's doing.

Standings:
1st- Dovizioso
16th- Lorenzo

I guess Pedrosa must be relieved to not be the slowest teammate anymore

crap race overall

Still they call Dalligna a genius and Preziosi the dumb. Seems like pretty much the same as 10 years ago. The bike can't turn. Nobody on earth can make that pig to turn.

Ducati GP18 is going anywhere, the bike is crap, went backwards from last year's bike. They took 3 years only to begin exploring a solution for the turning problem and went backwards, lol. Dat Italians... engine afficionados

It's time to Ducati withdraw from MotoGP, it's getting more and more embarrassing, plus Phillip Morris announcing he has quit smoking.

How far behind Zarco did the factory Yamahas finish?
Asking for a friend...

Quite a bit really. They need to put Lorenzo and Zarco on the factory Yams. Then it wouldnt be such a runaway to Marquez.

Hence why Jarvis looked so unhappy.

Dovi is not getting anywhere this year. Lorenzo? Should move on to Suzuki as fast as possible.

Last year Ducati was capitalizing over his rivals deficiencies much more than making the bike a good winner. Now that Honda and Yamaha have close the electronics gap, it's all over for the reds. They can't win a title with engine alone. As far as I know, a bike has some more pieces than an engine.

But ........ Dovi now leading the WC .... what bike is he on?

Had Marquez not had all the brain farts at Argentina , he would have beaten Miller under any start scenario . I think Marc wins that race had he and he alone started from pit lane.

Ah but my idea of the right thing to do in argentina would have been make the bikes do 1 lap then enter pits to change bike ...... meh .... maybe Marc. Would have still won that lol.

He is on a bike called "by chance".

Wait a few more races and ask again.

For the record, this is what literally 80% of us thought last year and we all know what happened then. In fact, last year, Dovi finished in 6th at COTA, and this year he finished 5th, closer to the lead this time in fact(although Marquez did clearly back off in the last couple laps). Not to mention, didn't he win at Qatar this year, a place he didn't win at in 2017? I mean FFS he had only scored 31 points by this time last year and now he has 46.

By the numbers, Dovi is actually considerably better this year than last, which brings me to my point:

3 races into the gp season is not enough time to fully assess the strength of any manufacturer or rider. It is also not enough time to say that a rider that challenged for the championship last year up and into the final round has no chance of doing the same thing this year and possibly succeeding when his stats so far are actually much better than last year.

The only safe predictions we can make is that both Rossi and Pedrosa won't win more than two races each.

And for the record, I am not attacking you, but I do not want to come on here and read the same garbage I read on every thread last year that said Dovi was not a contender when he really was and still is.

The post race press conference looked and sounded like a funeral. Absent were plenty of journalists, particularly "journalists" armed with smug questions (David Emmett etal). Another thing absent was indignation expressed about who didn't show up.

Marc was asked about the "extra motivation" he had mentioned, he replied he does his "talking on the track" and is why he chose to stretch the lead. To make a statement.

Yeah that was a pathetic turnout alright,it's a shame Crutchlow wasn't there to have a go at them again, did you see how many of them turned out for the debriefs after Argentina to see if they could get a few whiny words from the great one?, I bet you if Rossi had won that race the room would have been packed to overflowing,"So Vale, after what Marquez did to you in Argentina how does it feel to beat him here in Austin?"...bunch of gutless ......s..
