rd2, jerez... race rants........SPOILERS

BBC interview with vito he said something about both being on bike/engine 2

i didn't get vito's Pigeon inglish

nAH I DIDN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT HE WAS SAYING. tHIS ....... ENGINE RULE IS GOING TO RUIN THE RACING. eSPECIALLY TOWARDS THE END OF THE SEASON. sorry bout caps, cant be arsed to re type

Congrats to Lorenzo, exellent stuff took it easy in the start of the race and hammer it down later on At one point i thought he left too much for himself to cover in later part of the race but he proved me wrong. Great scrap between him and dani.

I think Rossi had more problems with his settings rather than his shoulder but never the less some useful points for the championship, another great ride by Nicky and beating his team mate on equal terms must be a great feeling for him.

Holy ....!!!

Just finished seeing the race. Was texting back and forth at 5 am with a few Powerslide friends. First of all...

CONGRATS TO NICKY!!! Yeah yeah, it wasn't a race win but he hung in there. Beating Stoner in a dry race by anybody is an amazing accomplishment.

Congrats to Lorenzo. Dude is a mad man. He was undeterred by several attempts at a pass. He made my heart rate go up thinking my words of taking eahother out would happen. He made this race exciting. CaliKid noticed he didn't take out the Lorenzoland flag, that's because He is the new favorite son of Spain. Hahahaha

Danny did well...but really I can't get pumped about him.

Rossi hangs in there for valuable points. For a moment there, I thought he would pass Pedro while Lorenzo had his foot on the poor midget's head.

Stoner, admits he doesn't like this track, and though it was smart to keep it on two wheels to get some points, I hope he stays positive about his teammates new found pace.

Did somebody sabotage Ben Spies? .... that sucks. Dude was in a great position then sunk. Are the WSBK grimlins back? What next, he runs out of fuel. Get your .... together Tech ....!

GO NICKY!!! GO NICKY GO MOTHATFUKIN NICKY!!!!!

Lorenzo did have a Lorenzo´s Land flag... Hell, he had a Spanish one that he dropped I think! Then got the Lorenzo's Land one, then went for a swim! Was it in that order?

You must be really happy compa... Congrats for stiking in there for so long!

oooohhhh...like the new look ben!

what a great race by lorenzo! simply brilliant! very measured & mature ride as he just rode his race & pace. if he races like this the rest of the year......... i got to give it to the wee 1 he did a great job at what he does best & thats get out to the front fast & run his pace. but as soon as jorge caught him i knew it was over for him... at least the win, but witht he problems he's been havin... pretty stellar. rossi does what he does best as always & grabs what he can.in a difficult situation. nicky hayden! damn i'm starting to really have hope for this season for him! he finally beats his team mate straight up! stoner does not go well at this track for some reason....... maybe he ought to start doing more than a few laps each practice session. ahhhh ben it's a shame bout the tire gonna be interesting to see what the problem with the hoop was you could see he was in trouble from the start. dovi...... this ain't gonna cut it son...kallio 6th!!!
<
......... really? good on him.... on to lemans.... 3 friggin weeks
<

Lorenzo did have a Lorenzo´s Land flag...

Ah well we only got the US feed, which means we miss allot. We didn't even get postrace interviews. I knew Nicky was better than he showed while on the pedrocycle, and that GP9 was unridable by humans.

BTW, the forum looks crazy. Will take some time getting use to it, but so far looks good. Good job Ben.

GO NICKY .......!

Glad Lorenzo mounted that very impressive fight, or it would have been a bit of a yawnfest. Actually was quite impressed Pedrosa tried to hold him off, not like him..............but was far more impressed with his post race "...." on live TV comment......hahaha.

Nice to see Hayden getting to grips with the bike now...cant be that many times he's beat Stoner (without stoner DNF'in).

WOW!! Between the Moto2 and GP races I'm just now catching my breath.

What did I tell you guys about Nicky being back??
<
If you would have told me that Nicky would start the season with 2 4th places (in one of which he damn near had a podium), I wouldn't have believed you.

VERY pumped about this season. Sucks that they didnt come over here for the 2nd round, but damn Jerez was worth the wait!

BTW, where the hell has Tomizawa come from? Race win in Qatar, then pole position and challenging Tiger Tony for a race win after binning it and coming back out on a beat-up bike. This guy is exciting!! Only 19 too! He could have a future in GPs if he keeps this up, IMO. The J-factories are always keen to have 日本人 riders in the series. That could only help him, but I don't care if he was from The Bahamas, the kid has got talent. Moto2 seems like pretty much guaranteed entertainment this year.

What a great race

You gotta love Chupa Chup man - I've never been so pleased to see someone pass Rossi.

Nice to see Hayden getting some results - long may it continue

NIcky is Looking Good because even when he was with Honda he never was too strong at these circuits. Im Really looking foward to how He does at Assen Sachsenring Laguna and Indy where he has been strong in previous years.

Please, dont make my head explode.

He was runner up in the Jap 250 series year before last, and was on a privateer honda last year. Only 19 so one to watch i reckon.

What a race! I thought i was gonna have a heart attack toward the end, but Lorenzo looked brilliant. Who said Dani can't fight? Holding off Lorenzo for that long when he was half a second a lap faster is impressive, in fact he put up more of a fight than Rossi who's bike seemed to be moving around a lot. Can't wait for the next one now, Stoner has work to do.

Oh yea nice one Nicky, good to see him there or there abouts again

Lorenzo was a lot later on the brakes than rossi due to his shoulder but i think the main thing was lorenzos determination to win here.

More than just a smile buddy. Jumping up and down fist pumping and yelling at the TV!
<

You're not the only one. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but at least she gets up at 5AM to watch MotoGP with me so I think I'll keep her around.

Great racing, congrats to Lorenzo. What a pass on the midget! Good stuff.

I agree, but the determination appeared very controlled. He wasn't touching grass and missing apexes etc. I'm impressed by that. Slightly concerned that the Stoner/Ducati combination have lost the edge they had before but its too early to be drawing such conclusions so we'll have to wait and see

The real piece of news today is that Hayden arrived in front of Stoner. And judging from the fury with which Stoner came out of the last turn, he was mightily pissed.
<

Lorenzo looked as good as in Qatar, only here he was 100% fit and had that extra kick needed to win. Still cannot like the guy, but he sure can ride!
<

Pedrobot... Looked like one of his typical runaways, but even if Rossi wasn't in the condition to spoil it this time, Lorenzo happily palyed Rossi's role. For a moment I thought both of them could bump against each enough for Rossi to take advantage of it -- but no, Lorenzo did the job in spite of Pedro's unusual resistance, and today's Doctor looked happy with third.

But again... the news today is that Ducati is no more the exclusive Caseybike! Important aspect in view of those contracts going for renewal.

So I wasn't hearing things.

Agreed, the 3 of the big 4 who aren't Casey will see what Nicky is doing and feel they can do better. I think we could see a big shake up next year.
