has anybody else wondered why the race is on sunday this season? it's always been a saturday race before. wsbk is on sat. does it have something to do with it being after dark?

now that you mentioned it, i just realized and wondered too... i had to cancel tickets for an upcoming incubus concert here in manila coz the schedule is in conflict with the qatar race

if the race is at night probably around... oh say... 10pm local time, what time will it be there jane? since no race times have i seen i'll assume 10pm will be about right.

nope, i don't think they're gonna schedule it that late...say, 7-8PM local time...if my memory serves me right, qatar is around 5 hours ahead of us...so that would be 2AM my time

could be totally wrong here but i think it does have something to do with being after sunset.
AFAIK sunday is the "holy day" but it ends with nightfall, allowing the race to go ahead...
again, my islamic customs knowledge is very shaky but its the same principle with Ramadan<sp?> ie.
no food during daylight hours...
if someone else has better idea, then please share it?
